“First play it was evident he was relaxed, smiling, playing loose – he was playing with a high sense of urgency and a clear mind,” Dawson said. “He’s been through a lot, I’m proud of the way he responded for sure.
“Sometimes you go through things for a reason. Adversity hits a lot of times. You can take two roads, and he took the high road, the good teammate, let me focus on what I can do better, let-me-clear-my-mind approach. He was extremely open, got a lot of things out in the open, to be honest. It allowed him to play free, not worrying about other things. Just focusing on the play that’s called, the game, the situation, the drive and executing it to the best of his ability and moving onto the next play. His energy out there was phenomenal. It’s the Tyler that we know. That was awesome to see.”
