Dawson on TVD:

“First play it was evident he was relaxed, smiling, playing loose – he was playing with a high sense of urgency and a clear mind,” Dawson said. “He’s been through a lot, I’m proud of the way he responded for sure.

“Sometimes you go through things for a reason. Adversity hits a lot of times. You can take two roads, and he took the high road, the good teammate, let me focus on what I can do better, let-me-clear-my-mind approach. He was extremely open, got a lot of things out in the open, to be honest. It allowed him to play free, not worrying about other things. Just focusing on the play that’s called, the game, the situation, the drive and executing it to the best of his ability and moving onto the next play. His energy out there was phenomenal. It’s the Tyler that we know. That was awesome to see.”

There’s a big misconception when “air raid” is mentioned. Many think it implies “airing out” or throwing the ball **** near every play and that’s the furthest thing from the truth.

If he leaves for USC that is career suicide.

He’s never getting a HC job in the P5 so he doesn’t need it for his résumé. Really doesn’t matter what we pay, if LSU wants him he’s going there. It’s his dream job and we’re not paying more and it doesn’t matter if we do. He’s still going to go if the opportunity presents itself.

I don’t see Brian Kelly hiring him. Don’t think the personalities fit. Someone is hiring Zach Arnett and someone is hiring Jim Leonard, likely the 2 biggest schools looking this off-season split those 2 and it won’t get bigger than USC/LSU. Plenty of other good names out there that aren’t from Louisiana and even then, the best DC with Louisiana ties right now is Blake Baker anyway. So why would they want Guidry?

Guidry has been great but we run one of the slowest offenses in the country and protect our defense and we still rank 43rd. He’s far from irreplaceable.
I've heard working for Mario is a grind, and that's amongst guys that love to say they don't sleep and love to tell you they work 365. Even they get burned out on Mario's BS.
