Bauman shouldn't have been on the field at all by the end of the season. He gave you nothing as a receiver and was a 50/50 proposition as a blocker.
When you leave subpar people in play, they tend to implode when the stakes are the highest.
What was clear, is that Indiana had no answer for when both Toney and Flethcer were a threat. We insisted on defying that for too long in the first half.
That's why we lost, we failed to take control of the game when they dared us to do so.

After seeing couple of his pansy drops, I knew he would cost us a game... but didn't think it would be the NC title game... it is completely on Mario and our OC for keeping him on the field after couple of really bad goal line drops earlier in the season.

YOUR fantasy would require 11 players from Indiana stringing together multiple plays, when they had just been DESTROYED on the prior 3 drives to start the second half.

And this assumption that they would have at least gotten a FG with that field position, is also weak.
Indiana’s kicker already hit the upright on a chip shot and as I said multiple times right after the game, their kicker was struggling big time pregame and half time warmup.
There is no guarantee he hits anything outside 30 yards, especially with the pressure at that point in the game.
Dude was missing most of his kicks without a defense in front of him.
