Bauman

Nope nope nope. All Bauman had to do was block the only guy rushing to his side. Anyone posting on this board could have gotten in front of the guy long enough to get off the punt. No coaching staff in America is coaching players to not block period.
Exactly this. He also whiffed on multiple wham blocks throughout the year. You can see it, he's scared of solid contact. He's a *****. All he had to do was step in front of him and absorb the hit, but he didn't. He's soft, he can't catch, he's slow, and he's a *****. Don't want to ever see that bum in a Canes jersey ever again.

We need an on field ST coach more than we need a TE coach in this offense.

If not for Davis’s cannon leg and Toney’s innate football IQ, we had one of the worst ST’s in the Top 25.

ST’s matter.
It was BAD bad. Perplexing really. Like we still cannot focus on all phases of the game. "This offseason we'll take special teams personal"

If you’re gonna trot him out there and be a useless 4th WR in 4 WR sets you at least have to be a good special teams player

Would have been ironic if his huge catch on 3rd and 15 had actually mattered but even that got washed away

It’s ok to get beat because the other guy is better… not so ok to get beat because you don’t even try.
The ST coach owns this as much as Bauman. It really looked like Bauman more likely thought the player he ended up missing would not be a factor in the play and kinda chipped him (yes heinous chip if so). I doubt very much Bauman knew that guy was a legitimate block threat but was just feeling too lazy to block him. He would not be getting the snaps he is if he was prone to efforts like that. Yes I too wanted to dropkick Bauman into outer space when I saw the replay but the ST coach deserves major heat too.

Dead on. People here have been complaining about Baumnans blocking since ND. Yet they kept rolling him out there. It’s kinda ironic the most catastrophic part of the season was a missed block by him. That blame goes on coaches.
