The Chief of Staff and GM roles are stupid. Hire Alonzo and his hand-picked team to evaluate our football program and athletic department. Alonzo would report to the BOT and his job would be to deliver his assessment at the end of next season. If Alonzo determines that Blake James sucks then you fire Blake and replace him with Alonzo.

Its just starting to sound like a game of telephone.

I'm not discrediting anything...but its getting a bit ridiculous.

Do this and you might as well fire Manny now.
No program can, or should operate like they’re watching over a coach’s shoulder.

We need to stop shooting from the hip and hire a good evaluator. If Alonzo comes back and says the issue is Manny doesn't have the staff he needs and needs more money then Manny wins as well. I think Alonzo could take an objective approach.

Chess, not checkers. This is the first domino of removing James and Diaz. James did a 5 hour coaching search and folks aren’t happy. Bringing in Highsmith is akin to a “vote of confidence” for Diaz and James...it would add pressure.

Namely, Highsmith would be the new AD after next year and he’d bring in his guy to replace Diaz ((possibly Mario)
