Barry Jackson update

Here's the thing about Richt: if we pay him SEC money, how are we supposed to afford the kind of savages we need for OC, DC, and Positions?

Winning 10-13 games 9 out of 14 seasons in the SEC ain't nothing to scoff at. I'm okay with Richt. Certainly ok with Butch. If it's Schiano even I might start contributing to banners.

Not to mention he'll have access to better recruiting in South Florida and the coastal is much easier than sec. Mark would kill it here.

If they aren't going to hire Butch then Richt is the obvious choice. Dude wins 10 games a year on average and is constantly in the top 25. You are never going to win the NC every year. With him, you can bet you're going to be in the consideration set annually. We're not even close to that now. You have to be realistic. Unless you get Saban, you're not guaranteed much of anything.
 
Don't need a ton of money for an OC if you hire Richt. He already said he wants to be his own OC next time he gets a gig. This would be a good spot to groom a Ken Dorsey as OC. Richt can coach more and call plays while grooming Dorsey to be a playcaller at this level.

I don't support Richt hiring, but if you're thinking of bringing in Dorsey this would be a much better way to do it than with Butch.

So, let's be honest. Richt is younger than Butch, has no issues with the NCAA, has taken two of the 3 best RBs from SF in the past 2 years, has the #1 QB in the nation in his pocket, has more 10 win seasons than Butch has season of any kind...........I am not confused as to why Miami would prefer him..............

He doesn't seem to have the fire required to win a NC here. If I am wrong and he does have a ton of fire, then we should hire him.

Schiano. I knew it. Another Joisey boy that's done ****. Might as well have kept Golden. What happened with Mullen? I thought he was still in this.
 
If it isn't Richt I hope we hire Schiano. Will clear out the fake "fans" we have and we can move on.

But then some want a guy that no one else in college football will even interview. We're in love with him bed use of what he did fifteen years ago.

Don't think fire in the belly will the issue (extremely competitive). Just an odd fit for Miami kids IMO.

frankly i am not against Richt but i say no way he takes the job. just don't see him diving back into coaching this year.

My belief also. So we spent all this time and money to hire GREG SCHIANO?????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This admins reaches new depths in incompetence with each new hire. Might as well have kept the other Joisey incompetents. God, I hate this school.

At this point in time I believe it's going to be schiano. I don't care about a few dollars they spent searching. It's not going to make a difference. Not sure I like the pick but I think he can be a good coach for us.

Georgia has two NC's in 122 years of football. Maybe its more UGA than the coach
