Barry Jackson New Article & what Mario must do now

I’m not opposed to him taking on a role like this but is he even open to it? Also, how many more seasons do we have to bear before this is even a possibility?
Also I have no idea how much autonomy he currently gives his coordinators, who knows how much autonomy he would even give the whole program if he was CEO. This could be a worse scenario if he is a control freak.
he could be smart and hire a seasoned assistant coach, who can help him manage games and TO's etc and keep HC role. he could also hire a top notch OC and stay out of his way. the results at the moment are frustrating, question can Mario change as what he is doing is not working 4 W's 17 L's in Nov/DEc

The financial backing is not as important as you all make it out to be. Do you think Virginia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Duke, SMU, and Pitt all have more money invested? Because they all have better ACC records. Their is no if at this point. He failed as hard as possible last year and this year we already threw in the towel to start November. This whole money fallacy started as a way to separate Manny and Mario, but the only stat that matters is wins and they are identical.
The 1980s called (which was a glorious time to be alive due to my Hurricanes/Islanders) and want you to know they miss "Well, they get a scholarship!" too. The court judgments assure that, just like they assure eventually astronomical HC salaries and stupid play lands for players (Dabo slide anyone?) is never coming back from the turn of century. It's now NIL and the gratification of making life better for the people who raised you on $25-30K and needed assistance as soon as possible is a strong pull; while there are exceptions (Mahomes/Manziel comes to mind), the "I have to make it the NFL to get big $$$" is over for highly rated kids out of HS or in the transfer portal. The finances are important, they are just misallocated. Making guys like Mario near three digit multimillionaires is not the way...'Nor is making Jimmy Sexton/CAA Billion dollar entities! The Jimmy and Joe's, not the HC and staff are the key.

Athletic departments have to be lean and the bulk of the money spent on player personnel and advanced tools (AI anyone) to make your relatively cheap coaching staff competent at development and (heaven forbid) leadership/game management.

Mario is a problem, but IMO play calling is not near our biggest problem. The problem is we play extremely tight and that is passed from the coach to his staff and to the players, this is what creates the perceived lack of discipline. What it really creates is the failure to execute. There is nothing that I see that can fix this without getting a new HC.

Yep. Players take on the persona of their head coaches. The culture being established is not one of confidence, fearlessness, and discipline. Mario exudes none of these things.
