Barry Jackson Buzz

I'm coming crashing back down to Earth.

It was good to dream about Chip for a couple days.

Not that I'd want his fat *** ANYWHERE near the position but it's laughable that an OL corch would think he'd be too good to be our OC under any scenario. And yet some fools still defend this clown as a "true Cane".

Pretty haughty position for a guy who left after 2 weeks of employment and a lateral move at that, regardless of the dumpster fire that we were at that time.

That looks like a collaboration of everything we've discussed on here over the past couple weeks....nothing new. Not doubting Barry has legit sources but he could've kept that...I could've did a 15 min research on Google and came up with the same thing. My source-google

Nothing in Barry's article definitely indicates that Chip isn't a possibility, though!

If UM is serious about making a huge hire and is willing to cough up the money, I see no reason why they would not actively pursue Chip. If there's reciprocal interest from Chip's camp, I could definitely see us waiting to see what happens to him in Philly before we pull any triggers.

Bevell doesn't have a ****ing shred of a clue how to use Jimmy Graham, so pass on that specific tid bit. Holy **** do Seattle fans want him gone.

Seahawk fan here...can confirm. Want him gone so badly...but not like this.

**** Cristobal. He's fine with being a position coach at Alabama, but being offensive coordinator or coach in waiting at Mismi is beneath him

Hope that dude gets hit by a bus

I do not want Mario what so ever but he would be dumb to indicate he would come In on the staff when he thinks he's a HC candidate. That would automatically put him in his actual place whether he believes it or not. Smart move by him. That guy won't ever be a major power 5 cosch so he can have all the sour grapes he wants.

The thought of Cristobal coming is horrible in and of itself, but the thought of him being the HC with Coley still as OC is what nightmares are made of... **** NO

Coley being retained is like keeping D'Onfrio's defense. Guy runs a neutered offense that does not take advantage of our skill and speed. Our offensive efficiency has not improved despite having a stud QB and talented WRs. Kaaya has 14 TDs this season, because we don't use our WRs correctly in the redzone. We need a pro-style offense back!

Cristobal's full court press through intermediaries and influential local HS coaches lobbying on his behalf was a completely inappropriate thing to do, completely based in self-interest, and bereft of concerns for a fan base and program that desperately needs a sure thing slam dunk hire.

That's the long and the short of it.

Yeah he's not going to say he would accept a staff position while he's interested in being HC. A staff position would be his only option though, because I doubt that Miami is truly considering him at HC. His name is only floating around because of media speculation due to his connection with the univ. I do believe that he will be a head coach but at somewhere like Central Fla, Memphis or South Fla if Willie get fired...
