If we need to depend on this many Frosh we are in trouble
- no doubt some deserve to play a lot but True Frosh wear down and with 4 of our last 6 on the road ............

I suppose youre involving me in this so I'll clarify for you. Barry Jackson statement is irrelevant because it's not grounded in fact. Fact is Colbert is starting opposite corn. So whatever context he's intending it just doesn't matter cause it's wrong either way.

You're right because all of our opponents are 2 deep with 5th year seniors at every position.

Problem is you will never get an accurate assessment from this board. Just gotta wait and see I suppose. Still don't expect much from a young DE but at least these kids will finally get some real coaching.
 
1st year coaches tend to play a lot of freshman. The first reason is that the older players are used to a different system. They were recruited for Golden's system and may not necessarily be a good fit in Richt's system.

The second reason is that they are hoping the extra playing time will help them in the future. Richt like every other 1st year coach will get a free pass for year 1. And he may be willing to sacrifice a win or two in 2016 if he thinks it'll result in more wins in 2017 or 2018.

It's about understanding what was written, not about your random opinion about who you think the starters are.

BTW, it's not a FACT that Colbert, a guy that hasn't played corner since high school, is starting. He may start, he may not start. That will be decided by the end of August.
 
Dont worry the Franchise says we are fine - 2 True Frosh starting at LB - I am sure this will be an easy transition

Keep wringing your tiny hands like a nervous squirrel. UM can't expect to beat a bunch of teams we have outrecruited with a proven winner HC because we might start a couple freshmen.
