Banners fly

Most definitely do not. I'm just allergic to intense stupidity and am not one to suffer fools or mince words. Life is too short. The banner dorks are the enemy of the program, whether they realize it or not.
First banner got the appropriate attention of an awful game day coach. Some improvements made, but he still was good for one crappy loss per season.

You’re just as wrong now as you were back then. Just like Herbstreit bringing public shame had no bearing. Oh wait, it did. Same with the ESPN articles.

No I’m not wrong. The only reason this myth keeps getting repeated is that there are low accomplishment people who have nothing going on in their lives, so it makes them feel good to think they had something to do with getting Gluten fired because they paid a couple of bucks for a cheesy *** banner.

The banner had zero to do with Golden getting fired. He shlt the bed, and then as the coup de grace he embarrassed himself by losing and getting rolled at home in front of like 10,000 people. That’s what got him fired. His record and that final embarrassment. He was gone anyway. Get that through your thick skull.

Maybe. Maybe not. We’ve had this exact argument no less than 3-5 times. I don’t think he would have had as much heat if people hadn’t rocked the boat & it got noticed nationally. To forego another back and forth where neither can prove, I’ll digress. I’m not a mouth breather though so save the insults for someone else.

It's funny when these dorks think their tactics work. It's almost as if they believe that the powers that be only tuned in to see their dumb banner.

They didn't see any of the bad losses.

They didn't see any of the empty seats at home games.

They didn't see the lack of revenue coming in.

They didn't see anything but the banner boys offerings.

Banner Boys are funny. You're dead *** right when you say they want to feel like they did something by dropping some coin on a banner.

You’re allowed to believe anything you want, even if it’s patently false, as in thinking a cheesy cropduster had anything to do with him being fired.

He was fired for lack of performance, none of the decision-makers gave one solitary fūck about the banners, what they gave a fūck about was the losing and the horrific attendance, and the continued embarrassment on the field.

People didn’t just all of a sudden figure out he was a bad coach because some dopes flew a banner.

But again, if it makes you feel good to think that then you’re welcome to think I’m wrong and flying a banner got him fired.

So you're saying that if it weren't for the banners, Al would have survived the Clemson debacle?

The fact you think the banners had much to do with that is hilarious. Sure it was uncomfortable but a $500 banner aint pressuring anyone into spending millions.

I’m saying maybe. I’m saying Manny might have survived this season without Kirk shaming Miami.

Negative press on a large stage forces the hand.

Manny technically survived the ESPN dragging. He's still coaching the team, and until the FSU loss, he was on pace to survive. I'm still not convinced he gets the axe if he pulls off an 8-5 record.

Clemson was worst loss in school history. Golden was gone, banners or not. We're going to disagree on Alfonso there.
