I honestly think the BOT, administration, etc will be absolutely shocked and horrified; they feel like this is a bad year and is just a part of the "process." He just won 10 games and the CoRstal!! Any guesses why we couldn't land someone better? I get that the players wanted him, but that excuse only goes so far when heavy hitters are lining up to replace your head coach.

we never hired big hitters, we hired guys with passion and drive, after butch we have went with safe guys that wouldn't leave for better things

Anything short of saying fire richt is a waste of money. The BOT's have already put it out there he needs to hire an OC for next season.

Fine. Who had passion and drive that wanted to replace Butch Davis?
 
I cant remember who we interviewed that year, Davis leaving was a surprise, DC Schiano had just left to Rutgers, Coker was the OC and the players choice, we won a title, it didn't work out, the Shannon hire was awful. Leach wanted the job. Mullin and Leach were 2 that wanted the job Golden got.
There are plenty of great young minds out there that want to have jobs like this one, we dont have to settle for losers

No they haven’t.

One anonymous trustee laid out the problems but also said there isn’t enough groundswell to force a change

So if it’s clear that the BOT has absolutely no interest in making a move this year, how exactly is this anything but a waste of time and money?

Guess I read over the groundswell part, although I think an OC gets hired this offseason regardless. I'm of the opinion that an OC isn't gonna get us to where we need to be, but **** it fly the banner.

Dude.. you sound like the people who argue against voting.. Look at this this way: even if--arguendo--it might be a "waste of time and money," how much money we talking about here on average? $10-$20 per head. What time would YOU be wasting? Virtually zero, since @NateDogg has volunteered to do the legwork (OK, maybe 2-3 minutes on the GoFundMe page). Thus, it's absolutely worth the risk, time and effort on an individual donor's basis. $10-$20 gets us heard! Now pony up your $10 bones and let's get 'er done! GO CANES!!
