I kept thinking last season **** we could win it all if we just had Mayfield plus he had that dog in him that our starting qb definitely didn’t and never will.

LOL. Well our defense against Clemson looked like OU's defense all year so who knows. We definitely could've used OU's running game as well (27th).

And what a decision that was. I bet OU's definition of him walking on is not the same one we interpret.

No doubt we took a huge hit when we lost Walton. Watching the Clemson game I felt like our defense was trying too hard and not playing loose just trying to make something happen after losing Richards and Herndon against Pitt. The D had some great opportunities in the first half that they normally would have capitalized on. We wouldn’t have had those slow asś starts practically every single game. Would have been ranked #1 again for the first time in over a decade going on 2. I think the Clemson game is close and we make the playoffs. I don’t know where things go from there after losing our top 3 guys at their respective positions on offense but **** it would have been nice to find out. There’s also that Hiesman trophy and return of QB U. I would have just liked to have seen what we could have achieved with a decent QB.

Baker walked on at Tech and OU. It was a preferred walk on title. It still amazes me how Miami continue to miss out on the 2 Best hot bed being Texas. All the big schools are camped out here. But when Jimmy and Butch left so did the attention of the Big state of Texas. Last 4 or 5 first pics have been Texas breed some even go to the joke of IMG. Richt should know a thing or two after landing Stafford. It's not about the bags because highschool in Texas a decent player isn't seeing a receipt. A kicker isn't enough. I will

Key words "on title". Miami use to cherry pick the whole country, not just TX. Until Herman and Fisher arrived in TX, OU usually got the best Texas players. That's what happens when you are winning. If Miami wins they will come.
