Bain and Brown Injury Update

1 to 2 weeks was the initial blurb from Mario after the Florida game regarding Bain. Game 5 coming up...

@DMoney might be a silly question but is JG3 hurt at all? he seemed to go out at somepoint, idk if he tweaked something or what, but i don't think came back to the game? why IH2 played so much from what i could tell. anyway appreciate any insights ya have.

Hammys are tricky. We saw that last year with Arroyo. You start trying to overcompensate and get hurt again. When I heard it was hammy I immediately looked at the bye week as the most likely return. IDK how bad it was but they can legit take 8 weeks in some instances then needs some ramp up time. And again we should not need him for VT, **** pretty sure our spread is bigger against VT than USF. I would love to see him get a few reps against Cal but a flight across country where he will be sitting for 8 hours then expected to use force may not be wise so to me makes sense to just wait until the bye. Louisville is right after the bye and I think we need him that game the most.

Louisville already had its bye and plays ND this week (15 vs 16) if they win they then play SMU and UVA before us. Both winnable games. Chance they are ranked in the top 10 as the SEC starts to beat up on one another and we will have a top 10 matchup if we handle business.

Same goes for Damari. we have not really faced a passing attack yet, and I do not think Cal or VT are huge passing threats but Lville will throw the ball, I would like to have him for that game as well.

He has been playing hurt since at least Ball St. He went out into the tent but came back to play. You'll see he usually limps off the field when he goes to the sideline.

He’s not really been healthy since fall camp

others have said it is an ankle he is dealing with after I think he had a hand issue in camp. Kinda sounds like one of those things where he can tape it up and push through but as soon as someone falls on it or he makes a hard cut it aggravates him and he is trying to push through. Unless it gets much worse I suspect we will see the same amount of play and hobbling from him until the bye when he will have 2 weeks to rest it
 
I didn’t expect Bain to be back until this week. Rivers I fully expected back last week. Hopefully Rivers is good to go Friday and Bain dresses and is on a pitch count. I’d expect Brown after the bye week.
 
Now it’s an 8 hour flight to California? And he can’t sit for 5 hours now on a flight? He can’t get up on a charter flight and stretch his legs? And get off the plane and go thru walk thru and get treatment and play the next day???
I think Bain plays Friday. Along with rivers.
