Bain "4" Heisman

The university of Miami needs to learn how to leverage the propaganda machine and promote its players. Bain and Beck campaigns need to have started yesterday for the Heisman. A big performance by both in Tally can put them in the conversation.

Wake the **** up Miami.

Watching these guys, and specifically Bain, dismantle an offense the way they did this weekend has me feeling nostalgic. Dominant DL play is a beautiful thing to see and a hallmark of our best teams from our glory days.

I'm going to guess that we're going to see an obvious adjustment from our opponents and a healthy dose of quick game, quick game, quick game in the coming weeks to try to negate our clear advantage in the trenches on defense. If we keep playing downhill with our LB's, Thomas, and Scott, I think this is optimal as it will likely create some turnovers but it may keep Bain and Mesidor from lighting up the stat sheet.

The Bain one I get.

But Beck? The guy isn't top 25 in any major passing statistic. Now maybe he turns the heat on for the rest of the season but he'd need to average a minimum of 3 TDs / 300 yards a game to have any realistic shot.

We're all excited about how the season's going but this is a vastly different team compared to last year, one that will have Beck being more of a game manager for rest of the season. He'll definitely need to win us a game or two on his shoulders alone.

Ultimately, he should have a better season than Cam from a W-L standpoint but I don't see a path to Heisman candidacy from a metrics standpoint.

He was literally top 2 odds in Vegas last week. FSU can put him back in it.

He's not this week though. And we've all seen this offense.

I just don't think Beck is going to have the stats needed to win the Heisman.

The last 4 QB winners (Daniels, Caleb, Bryce, Burrow) averaged like 48 total TDs. I just don't see Beck getting anywhere near that number.

What else can teams do to stop him? He is killing the run as well as their quick pass plays. They can stay away from his side of the field (which you can't do) and Mesi is dominating the other side. Mesi is just behind him in averages. They are both killing it. They have already played their best opponents this season, 4 games in.

I was watching those nerds on PFF and they basically made a very good point.
Bain is the highest rated player at any position. Not only the highest rated DE. Not only the highest rated defensive player.

The highest rated CFB player in the Nation. And it is not even close.

He deserves the hype. Someone has to start the bandwagon. I am driving it.

Of course it is not likely to happen. He would need to score some TDs. Maybe even get in on that T formation play as a FB or something.

But this guy deserves all the hype, kind words and accolades in the world. If he continues playing like this for the rest of the year he deserves to at least be invited to New York in December.
At the very least.
I'm not taking ANYTHING away from Bain whatsoever.......but if Suh didnt win the Heisman that year at Nebraska, aint no way in **** Bain gonna win it!

Bain has been absolutely dominant and again, taking nothing away from how good he's been, but the year Suh put together that year might be the greatest defensive year ever put together period.

I went back and had a look at Hase Ypungs 2019 season. He was a dominant edge rusher and a media darling. Last edge rusher to get that pop off the top of my head. Maybe Aiden Hutchinson as well. Anyway he went:

16.5 sacks
21 TFL
6 FF

That had him finishing 4th. Going to need to go 20+ sacks to have a shot.

Eric MacLain said that he went to use Miami’s workout facilities on Friday after Miami had already done their day before game light practice and walk through- and he found one person in there- Bain- who was going full on with his intense workout. MacLain thought he was insane.

Point still stands. We didn’t promote Ward until it was too late.

Why not have Bain in a FB/H-Back role down at the Goaline? Use him as a receiving threat. He’s gonna need offensive TDs to win the Heisman

Bain is the most dominant player on defense in college football and it’s not even close. He is historically good. I have rarely seen a player as good as Bain in the past two decades. I don’t care what his stats are. If Bain plays like this with his teammates backing him up, this defense can carry the Canes to the natty for sure ‼️

He would need to match or come close to Suh’s numbers at Nebraska. He came 4th in heisman voting 2009.

85 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, and 12 sacks.

Not quite on the same pace, to many mouths eating on our DL.

Yeah and who has those stats that are currently in the run for the Heisman?
