I was watching those nerds on PFF and they basically made a very good point.
Bain is the highest rated player at any position. Not only the highest rated DE. Not only the highest rated defensive player.

The highest rated CFB player in the Nation. And it is not even close.

He deserves the hype. Someone has to start the bandwagon. I am driving it.

Of course it is not likely to happen. He would need to score some TDs. Maybe even get in on that T formation play as a FB or something.

But this guy deserves all the hype, kind words and accolades in the world. If he continues playing like this for the rest of the year he deserves to at least be invited to New York in December.
At the very least.

I loved how mad Bain was at himself for missing a sack on UF’s final, and meaningless possession of the game. He slams his hands into the ground in disgust. Pure competitor.
not only that did you see him on the sideline after that? He was still mad, even when the O was taking a knee and the rest of the guys started to celebrate he just had this blank stare out over the field and you could tell he was ****ed. Like that **** lingered with him even as the rest of the team started to celebrate.

He played every single snap on Saturday. 52 outta 52.

So did Mesidor, by the way. And I totally understand the gator's drive chart is what nightmares are made of. But still, every single snap in that humidity, at that position, going that hard on every snap and grading out as the best player in America is genuinely insane.

And I wouldn't be surprised if he did extra work after the game.

That's some Wilt Chamberlain stamina.

He's been dominant but from a stat production standpoint he's not there yet.

He’ll need to have like multiple 3 sack games, some more turnovers, and stack the TFLs. Getting to 18+ sacks definitely puts him in the conversation.
That will come with the fluff left to play on our schedule

yeah very rare for a guy to not miss a snap and still be graded that high. I do think the UF drive chart made that possible... I mean:

3 and out (UM then had the ball for 3.5 football minutes)
3 and out (UM had it for 8 football minutes, end of first quarter)
7 plays and punt (Um had it for 3 minutes)
3 and out
3 and out (UM had it for 3 minutes)
3 and out (halftime)
11 plays 80 yards D
8 plays downs
3 and out
3 and out
3 and out

Like dude was legit playing basically 3 snaps then getting a breather. Only time that even allowed for him to be subbed out would be that 11 play followed by 8 but that was such a pivotal point in the game you would need to borrow a cops taser to get him off the field.
