Backup Left Tackle

I had a feeling St. Louis wasn't that great when he couldn't crack the rotation last year.

There were a bunch of injuries and combinations and he never surfaced as an option. I'm calling bust.

He did look awesome chasing punt returners though.

He was a true frosh, sheesh. Most true frosh aren't ready to play OL and play it well as freshman.

It still stood out to me that he couldn't get a snap at RT even though it was a revolving door all year.

All these guys were getting Kaaya killed and St. Louis was never in the discussion.

Ogdawu probably slides over to LT, Mcdermott can play RT IF HE NEEDS TO, but it depends if the coaches are more confident in Gauthier/Gall at G, or St. Louis at RT.

If we had a game today IMO it would be from LT-RT Ogdawu/Gall/Linder/Isidora/McDermott

If in 4-6 weeks St. Louis takes another step, it could be Ogdawu/McDermott/Linder/Isidora/St. Louis

Lol at Gall in your starting lineup

For the last fuqin time. They weren't getting Kaaya killed. Coley was.

80% of the defenses we played knew exactly what we were running before the snap of the ball.

Its **** near impossible to block when the defense knows whats coming.

If they get him killed with a real play caller, this year, then you can make these judgments.

But you really look dumb af saying they got Kaaya killed because if you had an ounce of football knowledge you'd know what you were watching was a lack of coaching.

Gall started last year, and it a serviceable backup. Such an LOL

Guys I know we have all starters returning on our O-line. I hope to see vast improvement with this unit. I especially pray to God either......1. Gall has transformed into someone who can block and hold the point of attack or 2. Gall does not see the field except in blow out games. Anybody else have the same concerns? Last year, Gall+Lousiville D-Line = Swinging Gate.

Even if the defense knows it's going to be a pass (eg: 3rd and long) it's still the OL's responsibility to impede the obvious pass rush that they know is coming, which was something the OL failed to do time after time. So I don't know what the **** you're talking about right now bro.

Dude, i dont understand how you can miss the point here.

Its not just that the defense knew if it was a pass or run.

The defenses knew our EXACT plays. as in " we only line up in spread formation with malcom in the slot whenever we run the screen to coley... therefore the entire defense knows, when they see malcom in the slot, that its a screen to coley.

But dumbasses like you would say " malcom lewis cant block" Well of course he cant block 11 guys that know exactly where the **** play is going!!!

1. Cool it with the name-calling.

2. This strawman of yours has almost nothing to do with St. Louis' inability to crack the rotation despite multiple injuries along the OL all season.

3. James Coley's fault guys:

My argument isn't about St.louis cracking rotation.

It's about the constant judging of players when we know the coaching was less than serviceable.

You posting those plays don't prove anything because we cant see what lead up to the plays. and the first two plays are expected to happen.

You can't leave a pocket qb alone in 5 wide sets. He will get killed everytime because the De don't have to set the edge and can take inside moves. Bad formation use by James Coley. You can't expect any lineman to hold up those blocks without the threat of a screen or run to keep the defender from pinning their ears back.

An offensive coordinator has to help his players out with good playcalling and formation use.

All you did , by posting these gifs, is prove how bad James Coley truly was.

You just don't understand football that well and its ok because im going to teach you.

Coaches get paid big bucks for a reason. They have a **** job to do.

Furthermore, when the route is equivalent to a 3 to 5 step drop you never leave a pocket qb with little mobility in that situation. Its supposed to be a quick throw whenever you use that formation.

But this *** hat Coley has our WR running 20 yard digs while his qb is getting Teed off at the line of scrimmage.

It's bad coordinating no matter how you stretch it, man. If you can't see that then maybe you should refrain from posting until you learn a little more about the game,

I'm practically as concerned about Darling not improving his play as I am about him sustaining an injury. He was underwhelming last year. We need him to solidify the left side of the line if we are to compete for an ACC title.

I'd argue that the OL was bad last season primarily because of inexperience and Kehoe being an awful OL coach but go ahead and beat this strawman of yours to death.
