Back from the game(another Observation thread)

Overall nice post .Dont agree on Yearby -he looks quicker and just as strong . He shed some weight and gained strength and his vision and cutting ability is second to none.

He is fine and a good second back. He makes some great moves out there as well.

Both out safties worry me. Carter lacks the instincts and Jenkins needs to learn how to wrap up. His tackling fundamentals are awful.

Go Canes!

I'm glad I'm not the only one when it comes to Carter.. Kid is not a safety he has terrible ball instincts and he's a senior no way he should get a penalty like that.

Yep, safety play is a real concern

1st time posting here but I just wanted to add my 2 cents on your assessment....

I disagree with how you see Joseph Yearby / he is an impact player that's dangerous with his feet and can move the chains. Mark Walton is the best back on the team but Yearby is a very important piece to me.

I also like Braxton Berrios as a returner, he is sure handed and is a threat to take it all the way.... the main thing about PR isn't scoring, it's holding on to the ball, and gaining whatever positive yards you can if possible.

The defense is the side that the team is going to have to lean on, which is a great thing / most top teams rely on their defense to keep them in the game until the offense gets going....

Offensively, we need to make running our main focus, I don't see Brad Kaaya as being the type of QB that we can lean on to win games, he doesn't have the qualities imo / Coach Richt had to scale back the offense bc of that and it was against FAU. Mark Walton is the offensive player we ar going to lean on imo and I have no problem with that.

All in All I think this Miami team is set to have a big season but Brad Kaaya needs to show more confidence in the pocket and in his throws.

No.

Yearby's biggest crime to some on this board is not being Dalvin Cook. I think he's a very solid college RB( guy had 1000 years rushing behind those pylons last year) and IMO, I wish he'd be used more in the pass game.

Reminds me a bit of Leonard Conley, not meant to be an every down RB but one that be versatile and plugged in different roles

Yearby made a few nice plays on the wheel route last season. Good back, not great, but he brings a lot of value to the table.
