About the Dline getting gassed, well that's what happens when you don't have depth. This is going to be one of the biggest problems for us, not just at DL, but throughout the roster. 4th quarter against FSU we'll see how much our lack of depth hurts us.
Berries just got a PR TD last game. Don't trip on his return skills because he didn't return one both games. I think Corn is our best returner but I'm not really tripping. In important situation Corn should probably be back there though. Obviously we can't risk Coley being back there. Bruce likely will get action as a returner, but he's suspended. I'm not very worried about our returners.
DLine was gassed because they were on the field all 1st half because the offense couldn't move the ball.
FAU had 28:00 minutes of T.O.P, we had a ton of 3 & outs on Offense, therefore causing the Defense to be on the field more often than they should, which results in them getting tired. Depth isn't as big an issue on the DLine as it is on other areas of the roster.
This is against FAU. What happens when we play FSU, UNC, VTECH, ND? You don't think we will be in situations where our offense isn't doing **** and our D has to play a lot more than they should? The DL is the most important unit, and we happen to not have as good depth as we did a month ago. Lb depth is terrible, but we can mask that by going nickel. If corn gets hurt we are kinda **** at CB. S is fine but if Jaquan has to slide back at safety it screws us since he's our starting nickel CB.
I fully expect our defense to not be so great in 4th quarters. Even if we are extremely well conditioned, having no depth won't be good. When we beat FSU it'll be because our defensive guys left absolutely nothing in the tank.
