BABY CANES ARE WHOLE SAVAGES

They're all 13-14 YOs?!

How does this team stack against miami area optimist teams?

Earl Little helps coach this team, his son is on it as well. They're far and away the best 14U optimist team in the country. As you can imagine they are all being raised to be big canes fans. Most of these guys will be at STA and other powerhouses soon enough
 
Their Head Coach Chris also coaches at University school so I'm going to assume most of them will follow him there.

Jaden McBurrows. Might aswell call them the PPO/Ftl Hurricanes since the majority of the team is the team Chris had @PPO (that beat a much better Snoop team last year and finished as the number 1 team in country for the age group).

Their the best team in their age group in country and have been for past two years. It's why they are playing teams nationally. They went to Texas about a month ago and beat the breaks off one of the top teams in Texas.

University School isnt giving kids free rides anymore...so doubt they head there

if those kids are 14 they should be playing JV not optimist
 
And that right there is all you need to know about why the University of Miami should always be at the top of the college football world. Incredible stuff.

The QB is from PPO his lil sister plays soccer with my daughter. Kid is nasty. I know right now he is at Nova Middle and will probably end up at Nova High School from talking with mom and dad. Kid is a big Miami fan.

THIS is the advantage of south Florida football culture. Urban, Saban, and Jimbo have to wait until the summer to get down there to watch 15-17 year olds compete in 7 on 7.

Richt is in the middle of the season and building critical relationships with the best youth BALLERS in the country.

Bouta have this thing rolling like the minors.

This is why patience is a virtue. Richt is putting in the work to get these Baby Canes now, where every other coach in the country can't spend hours each week talking to these kids, who love the hometown team. Tried to tell you all, ease up on the negativity and demand for instant results, it will only hurt what Richt is going to build here soon. This is chess, not checkers and Richt learned from the best how to put a fence around the state of Miami. We land 85-90% of the kids we target in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Seems like a long time, but we are essentially starting from scratch. Once the pipeline gets pumping, I expect a run of playoff appearances for 5-6 straight years
