Babers is NOT the answer

Guys, Babers sucks! In his 3rd year, he hasn't won a national title at Syracuse which is the Bama of the north east. Zero big game wins at all on his resume, Clemson is clearly a overrated program don't let the consistent college football playoff appearances and performance on the field fool you. When Dino starts beating Saban, we can talk.

Clemson didnt have their starting QB that game

HAHA! Are you guys delusional??? Im sick of the clamoring and drooling over this guy. What has babers ever won??? NAME ME THE BOWLS AND CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS GUY HAS WON. I'll wait. He runs an high tempo gun'em offense with speedy skill position players and a decent QB in Dungey and the skill pos players make dungey look better than he really is. I would even still take kosi or even rosier over dungey any day as most of you would.

Yeah, Cool syracuse is putting up alot of offense but now do yourself a favor go look at the numbers their defense gives up! NO THANKS. BABERS IS NOT THE ANSWER FOR MIAMI! Keep diaz and give richt another 2 years at least.

Im from syracuse i can speak on this I see the media and news on the team daily.

No way Rosier is better than Dungey. That's ridiculous.

Of course it is possible. We finally got the defense we wanted but who knew the offense would be so ****** by the time we got the defense we wanted. This team with even a Jedd Fisch offense is in the CFP

Right. My point is that when the HC changes it's very likely that the rest of the staff changes...even if Diaz wanted to stay (doubtful) the new guy would probably want to hire his own DC. And when that happens you have no idea how it will go. History shows we could very easily swing back to good offense/terrible defense.

I really don’t know if Babers is the answer either. What I do know is he beat a Clemson team last year that embarrassed us in prime time last year. I do know that Syracuse should have beaten Clemson this year in Clemson. If we play Clemson right now we would lose by at least 21.

Irony. See, a few years ago the line was "just get somebody who will run an aggressive 4-3 and we'll win it all!" How did that turn out? "We need somebody that has a winning record and HC experience at a big school" Worked well, right?

Is it possible that the next guy being an offensive wizard won't be enough? Because I promise you that unless we make Diaz HC, he's not staying forever and there's no telling what the next guy will do.

Well, Babers has worked his way up the latter; he did very well at Eastern Illinois, then coming over to Bowling Green he’s done well, and now he’s turned around Syracuse and they play in the harder of the two divisions in the ACC.

The guy can obviously coach. If he’s matched w a good d-coordinator, I truly believe it’s curtains. I think he connects well w the team, and he would connect well recruiting. He’s taking all these 3 and 2 star players and competing w Clemson!

I think Babers is a very, very solid coach and he was up there on my want list. He’s breathing life in to doormat programs. Now he’s doing it at the P5 level.

This is very true

Yeah Babers seems to like Brian Ward, who appears to be a 4-3 Tampa 2 kind of guy. Would not be interested in that. Though he has them playing a little better this year

My only issue with hiring Dino is if where going to hire a coach in the Leach mold let's just hire the real thing and hire Leach. It's like putting a aftermarket exhaust on a v6 mustang to make it sound like a v8. Just buy the v8

Exactly!!!! Pass on Babers

So many dumb fans in this fan base...

It's unbelievable the football ignorance that's displayed on this board at times.

What Elite coach is out there just ready for Miami to snatch up?

Leach is an elite offensive mind. So are David Yost and Kendal Briles. Butch Davis is an elite recruiter. If Miami decides it's willing to pay a coach a top 10 salary, then it should fall on its knees and beg Peterson to come from UW. Also, by the time Rick is conceivably fired (at least two years from now), Jon Gruden might be on the market again.

To those who keep saying that Dino hasn't won anything since being a head coach and wouldn't be good for Miami; it's clear you all who make this argument don't look at history. Name one of Miami's great coaches who were successful before coming to The U.

Howard: 4-13 as Baltimore Colts HC before being fired. Was OC for the Dolphins before coming to Miami
Jimmy: His overall record at HC of OK St was 29-25-3, never won more than 8 games his time there
Dennis: Was 12-10-1 at Wash St (50-31-1 overall as HC)
Butch: First time head coach

These coaches were young and innovative, which is why they had success at Miami. Butch may not have been 'innovative' per se, but was a master talent evaluator and led Miami through sanctions. Those are the type of coaches we need. Dino fits that mold. As long as Miami made sure he put a premium on a top notch defensive coordinator and paid them well I think he would do great here.
