Away Game Tickets

Completely wrong, below is directly from the emails they sent out all summer. Yes, the emails do indeed subject to availability, but everything about the language they use and general marketing points you to believe - tickets only wouldn’t be available if your priority isn’t high enough, not oh there was too much demand so tickets got pro rated. They even tell you lol ND demand is high so donate more. That isn’t ethical, say donate more but the whole time they plan to pro rate you even if you donate enough. All they have to do fix this is literally write a new disclaimer saying “in extraordinary circumstances Miami will prorate any request they deem necessary.”

“Submit your request by August 7. Away game tickets are allocated based on Hurricane Club priority and ticket availability, not on a first-come, first-served basis”
  • No request is guaranteed. Tickets are subject to availability, and submitting a request does not guarantee ticket fulfillment.”
Demand for the Notre Dame game is expected to be extremely high. Increasing your Hurricane Club membership level will improve your allocation priority, but it does not guarantee ticket availability or fulfillment
Nowhere in there does it say they full fill higher tiers first, that appears to have been your beef no? You didn’t get your full available to be requested allotment while other below you received tickets.

Simply we don’t know their allocation process or methodology, though we can say It’s 100% clear it is not fully fill higher tiers first.

I mean in my opinion this is pretty clear, yeah that’s the beef. “Based on priority” I’m not sure what else that is supposed to make me think besides this is purely about your ranking. I agree, we clearly don’t know the methodology. But that’s a problem because the entire Club is literally designed around the fact that each tier is treated better than the one below. So you either have system or you don’t.

Thing to consider is ranking in the past has also included length and amount of season tickets consideration, alumni status, etc. — not sure anymore.

I don’t remember how many tickets you got, but how many season tickets do you have? Maybe they align to that?

To me, I see nothing to indicate id be guaranteed anything around ticket purchase in their descriptions or marketing. Nothing that says if or alludes to if you donate X you’ll be preferenced fully over others. I guess I’m just more pessimistic. Buyer beware.

so in this case it feels like the HC is trying to serve many members rather than just a few. From a pure UM fan support base they probably would rather have those tickets not bought just to be re-sold. It’s better for the membership and fan base as a whole to distribute to people genuinely using them (I’m not saying you’re doing it to re-sell). The flip side argument is potentially disenfranchising higher dollar members.

If they fill your order as $3k member (forgive me if that wasn’t your level) for 10 tickets and that boxes out 5 $1500 members who may become dissatisfied and don’t donate again. Long term maybe it’s a loss for the program.
