Average Attendance 2025

Anyone that understands anything about the University of Miami football program knows that the one question that perfectly answers whether Miami draws for a home slate is "Did UF or FSU come to town?". If the answer is yes, the attendance numbers will look good. If the answer is no, the opposite applies. Now imagine UF AND Notre Dame coming to South Florida in one season, of course the attendance figures would look great. People bought full season ticket packages for those two games, knowing full well they had absolutely no interest in going to another game.

There's a good chance that this year's team will be just as good, if not better than last year's squad, but the attendance will likely not be as great. Why? Because barring VT or someone else becoming a dark horse contender, the home schedule doesn't feature anyone that people see as a legit threat. People will come to see Miami beat the brakes off of FSU, but even that won't be hot ticket it once was.

Just wishful thinking on my part, but I’m hoping that because of the year we had last year, that we get better than decent crowds for most of the home games. This team and staff certainly deserve it. I’m not counting on it. I’ll be there anyway for all the home games. But that’s my hope.

because that is tickets "sold" not butts in seats, so they see the gap on the screen. to be fair though they dont really account for the fact our fans also dont get in ahead of kickoff to fill it right away and often it's people taking pics during warmups as if they say it is the game.

as usual truth is somewhere in between
Another factor ... for the "looks like there are a lot of empty seats". The Club section fans have a tendency to spend a lot of time from half time on in the comfortable lounges eating, drinking, with kids playing, and watching games on TV.

I actually think the attendance is gonna be good this year you bringing a guy like DM and he will be something to watch.
Funny story I know a local kid who is being recruited by Miami, Florida, and Florida state. When I ask him during his season who he was leaning towards, he said Florida because of their big crowds. When I saw him again recently, I said hows recruitment going he said so so Miami dropped me, and I haven’t heard from Florida in a while… Life comes at you fast.

The 2025 schedule really helped those numbers.

I'd expect us to have notably less attendance in 2026. One less home game and likely no elite marquis games. (Va Tech and FSU are the best possible chances)

No but I bet we have one of the highest no-show rates of all major programs. I've known so many season ticket holders that only go to like half the games if that. And plenty of those guys are so rich they don't want to bother selling them.
We’ve talked about this plenty of times in other threads. It’s just not true, and I don’t know why our fanbase has this attitude (maybe they’ve only been to Canes games). I went to grad school at Florida and have sat through more half-filled games at the Swamp than I can count. They say every game for every sport is a sell-out every week, and it’s not even close to the truth. I’ve been to other SEC games, and other teams too. Y’all need to stop this.
