Anyone that understands anything about the University of Miami football program knows that the one question that perfectly answers whether Miami draws for a home slate is "Did UF or FSU come to town?". If the answer is yes, the attendance numbers will look good. If the answer is no, the opposite applies. Now imagine UF AND Notre Dame coming to South Florida in one season, of course the attendance figures would look great. People bought full season ticket packages for those two games, knowing full well they had absolutely no interest in going to another game.
There's a good chance that this year's team will be just as good, if not better than last year's squad, but the attendance will likely not be as great. Why? Because barring VT or someone else becoming a dark horse contender, the home schedule doesn't feature anyone that people see as a legit threat. People will come to see Miami beat the brakes off of FSU, but even that won't be hot ticket it once was.
