Avantee Williams arrested

The first thing I asked when he said it was his brother’s connect was if it was over weed & he said no. Not that it makes the situation any better. That isnt concrete by any means either, just heard it and figured id pass it along. Truth will come out eventually
Truth will come out eventually, I'm sure it was over something not that serious like a woman etc dudes be crashing out over nothing. RIP to dude though.

Victim was my buddy’s brothers weed guy. Supposedly they were going at it in a club went outside to scrap. Tae lost the fight & then shot him afterwards.
If true, talk about senseless. Not that I endorse violence, however I remember growing up in the country here in NC, and if you had an issue, you got some real estate, tore up some grass and left it there. You may not be on speaking terms ever again, heck there may even be a rematch scheduled, but after the fight was over, the entire situation was over - guys took their L and moved on.

And I'm not that old of a guy (barely 40).

Depends on the type of ppl you are dealing with. Grew up in Newark, NJ (30) if you had an issue you either talk it out, fight it out or keep it moving. Some ppl would run the fade others would prob shoot you so you have to be careful, not everyone is willing to fight and not everyone is willing to fight fairly.

Yes, if you are seated in the dining area, you may carry. If you are seated at the bar, you may not. That is my understanding as a CCW license holder.
That is correct. According to the new, permitless carry law you cannot carry in:

CTE develops differently in individuals.

There isn’t a minimum number of hits to the head that would do it.

Like you said, it is repetitive brain injuries over a period of time.
Yeah a lot of the guys who played football from middle through high school, but dont go on to college ball are still effected by this and probably dont even consider it

CCW license holder in Florida is almost irrelevant. you no longer need a permit to carry here.
True, but those that have one went through a background check and tended to familiarize themselves with the laws.
I’ll keep getting one, so there is no question if a LEO pulls me over etc.
LEO’s don’t like the new law and you can bet if you’re carrying without a CCW, you’re going to get scrutinized more and held until they run a felony check on you.

Plus my CCW is recognized and reciprocated by most states in the country, whereas permitless carry?

agree 100%

Self defense generally provides that you can use an amount of force that is equivalent to the threat you are facing. For example, if someone is threatening to punch you, you cannot shoot them as your use of force is greater than the threat.

As to the gun, we will need a Florida attorney to tell us whether the legality of the possession removes the right to self defense. That is different from state to state. Georgia does not allow convicted felons who use a firearm to defend themselves to use self defense unless the firearm was possessed after the threat (think of grabbing your friend’s gun after being threatened).

But I would remind everyone to be slow to argue self defense or otherwise. A newspaper article will be 1/100 of all the facts in this case that a jury will hear.
I candidly do not think it does but I am only speaking from a personal experience. Buddy of mine kicked in a door to a drug dealer that owed him money. Dude was in there with his pregnant GF, both had guns, shots go off, the GF tried to run from the bathroom to the bedroom and her own boyfriend shot her, she unfortunately died.

The drug dealer was a felon, gun was his, he went to jail for about 4 years on a plea deal for felon with a gun, felon with ammunition and the drugs in the apartment.

My friend and the 2 guys he were with obviously went down for armed robbery and felony murder for the GF and the unborn baby, all caught multiple life sentences. I think the drug dealer got a bit of a lessor plea deal because of the circumstances but he did not go down for manslaughter or murder because he was obviously trying to defend himself.

Also, the helmets that have been used in Pop Warner/pee-wee football historically are not nearly as good as what you get in the NFL.

Just truly a tragic situation, Williams had the world in his hands and then blew it all away. Such a bad circumstance for him, his family, and his daughter.

What would first degree Murder Charge be if it’s not Shooting someone 6 times?
Sad, He had a Chance at a better Life & he Choose this road.
Means it probably stemmed from an altercation and wasn't necessarily premediated.
