The first availability report of the 2026-27 college football season has arrived for the Miami Hurricanes game against the Stanford Cardinal.

Let's go ahead and get this out of the way for those who are unfamiliar with how this works: ACC schools are required to share an availability report the week of kickoff to provide transparency on player status. Players are listed as:

• Out (0% chance to play)
• Doubtful (25%)
• Questionable (50%)
• Probable (75%)

The Hurricanes currently have two players listed as out, meaning they will be unavailable against the Cardinal on Friday night. Tight end Luka Gilbert will miss the entire season after injuring himself during the summer, while the big news regarding cornerback Ja'Boree Antoine broke recently. There were rumors swirling sustaining that he was injured in camp.

On the other hand, if you haven't already noticed, Stanford will have a handful of players out. The offensive line and the defensive back groups were hit the hardest, combining for a total of eight unavailable players during Friday's ACC clash.

Yeah, I agree. You have to admit, after seeing that list, one HAS to think, "There's no way we're losing to these guys." Thus that sinking feeling of, "Why does this feel so familiar?"

We should be able to do whatever we want against these guys, and I think we will.

What I said doesn't mean we can't give up an early lead to a scripted drive or whatever. But the game will settle. We will get push, and they will not get push. We will be able to do whatever we want in the 4th quarter. It should be convincing, but even if things don't go our way, our talent and depth will takeover eventually.
