He would have been a huge upgrade over Enos, but as I said at the time, there's no way Miami's HC or AD understand that.

Why would they understand that?

We only lost 58-0 to Chad Morris' Clemson offense a couple years ago.... it's not like the University of Miami ever learns anything. That would be too much to ask.

Gus has gave up play calling before at auburn. If he gets morris he would probably give it up again.

The AD because the approach is to let the HC do whatever they want for about 3 to 4 years and then start over. There is no plan past this. New hire will be 1) budget hire and 2) for the most part the opposite of the last guy.
The HC because he's way in over his head and probably thinks he'll look like he doesnt know what he's doing if he makes a change.
