Attendance Numbers

approx 30k is accurate. i refuse to further my masochism & look at my DVR but the shaded areas had a decent crowd. what you see on tv is the student section (completely empty) & area where the sun is hitting you directly (i saw a lot of ppl move to other shaded areas.

re paid attendance vs actual buts in the seat, stubhub is litered weekly with thousands of tickets to UM home games that go unused. i guess ppl buy season tix to go to just 1 or 2 games & try to sell the rest
It was employee day. It’s like buy 1 for 10 bucks get theee for a dollar.

This was just before kickoff. Absolutely no way there was 30k at the game.

Forget about the losses, which are a disgrace. Miami/Gattis brand of football is freaking boring.

Besides the boring brand of football, the endless promotions, wak games, and endless TV timeouts are killing the experience.

I have high-end season tickets, I attend every game, I can see why the average fan wouldn't want to be there.

Lots of terrible towels last night on national TV. Some “fans” prefer to sell their seats.

Don’t think attendance issue is exclusive to our Canes

They announced 55k for Duke. Not even close. Guessing people bought season tickets and no showed. Wonder how season ticket sales go next year….😕
My point is they've been doing this for years.

How can our 2001 NC team only get 25-30,000 fans at the OB.

It's what this City does and has done since the beginning.

There were far more people in seats during the 1st and 2nd quarter. You know this.
You’re right. I’m just saying that there was nothing close to 30k at the game. Put it this way, capacity is 64k, so 30k means just about 1/2 the seats were filled. At the end of the first quarter it looked as if 1/4-1/3 of the stadium was filled, which would put attendance at 16-21k, which would be probably accurate.

We been terrible for 20 years that’s really the only reason nobody comes , people in Miami have so many other things to do then watch the canes lose, the dolphins games been sold out this year.

I will add that Miami won’t sell out a cupcake blowout experience. When I was at school, I remember the Long Beach State game shockingly not being a sellout. Miami is a small private school in a big time city. But the City also knows how to rock a stadium when it’s on.

The real funny one was they Florida Marlins. It was like a private showing of a MLB game. The beer was even skunked.
