The answer is that the Canes get almost negligible away fan attendance except vs FSU. Dolphins get way more away fans than the Canes could ever dream of.Watching on tv it seems like the fins always have a much bigger crowd than the canes. For those who live down there, is that accurate and why?
I live in Michigan. Been to HRS for the canes. Only road games for dolphins.
THIS!fins - more fans by a lot (remember all the gators and noles from miami are still fins fans not canes fans).
True... but it does make a little more sense when you think about that the Canes play on Saturday, and Dolphins on Sunday, so there probably is a little more going on when the Canes are playing. The real reason though (someone hit on this earlier) is that there are way more Dolphin fans in the area than Cane fans. There are a lot of Gators, Noles, Knights, Owls, Bulls, Panther, Rattler, and even a few Wildcat fans, that live in the Miami area that also are fans of the Dolphins.Never got the argument that the Canes don’t draw crowds because there is so much to do in South Florida. Doesn’t make sense. if that were true, Hard Rock would be empty when the Dolphins played.
its not head scratching. a lot more kids from SFL go to UF and FSU for school than they do UM. ****, now UCF has a ton of miami kids up there and they come back being UCF fans.I’ve always found that head scratching.
But.. South Florida is full of Dolphin fans, regardless of how trash they’ve been. Which is even longer then UM.
South Fla you could make a case has more Nole & Gator fans then there is UM.

that doesn't matter. kids allegiances change once they go to school. the fins have always had a larger fanbase. theyre a pro team and one of 32 teams. thats it. its not like UM is 1 of 30 teams nationwide.True.
Still, Miami has brought more championships to the state of Florida them FSU/UF and the Dolphins.
You would thing over the last 30 years they would have built a bunch bigger fan base in south Florida. Dolphins been trash since Dan left, and every Sunday they games pack for a hot *** 1pm game.
Bro you keep mentioning kids.. but I’m referring more so to attendance in general.that doesn't matter. kids allegiances change once they go to school
im saying where do you think it starts. the kids turn into adults go to school become fans of UF or FSU or UCF or w.e., come back home make money but are fans of other schoolsBro you keep mentioning kids.. but I’m referring more so to attendance in general.

I guess it really comes down to: Pro sports are more popular than college sports. You need mucho students to overcome that.True... but it does make a little more sense when you think about that the Canes play on Saturday, and Dolphins on Sunday, so there probably is a little more going on when the Canes are playing. A 4-3 team with a chance to make the playoffs. The canes are 3-4 with the hopes of making the papa johns bowl…But the dolphins still aren't that good though. They were barely above .500 last year and 3-3 this year.
Also not taking into account the fins lost their qb for three games. They’re 4-0 when Tua plays and that’s w McDaniels horrific in game decisions last night and tuas lucky dropped intsA 4-3 team with a chance to make the playoffs. The canes are 3-4 with the hopes of making the papa johns bowl…
