Attack Attack attack

We do not have the dudes at either wideout or qb to do what IU is doing.
If we did we would’ve already been doing it.

And no, doing it against Stanford doesn’t prove it.

Until Dawson, the receivers, or Beck prove me wrong I’ll standby my statement.
Our offense has been designed to mask our inability to effectively throw the ball either consistently or when we absolutely need it.

All this Mario is too conservative talk is bs.
Mario wasn’t “conservative” last year because we had the dude that can do it.
Lol the excuses, they did last year with an undrafted QB and we have more talent than them. They have way way better coach

It’s the same oc and head coach as last year and we had the number one offense.
We’ve played 6 games already and we tried to air it out we looked awful.

Idk why nobody is willing g to accept that we are what we are and we got figured out.

We are trying to burn clock and keep offenses off the field because we can’t score in bunches.

It’s not a philosophy. It’s a need.

Last year we had a generational QB who was given a lot of leeway. We’re right back to what we were doing before cam came in.

What Indiana is doing, is being done with an efficient game manager QB and a bunch of three star talent. It’s different philosophies, it’s not talent in my opinion.

CFB is not the NFL in that winning is the only metric that counts. Style points, SOS, SOR, etc. don't matter at all in the NFL. You can win by 1 or a billion...just win.

CFB is 100% a beauty contest. Yes, winning is important, as it should be, but "how" you win (and to a lesser extent, lose) absolutely matters.

If Mario's recruiting prowess isn't what it is, his mindset would be ideal for the NFL. As a college fb coach, he better understand that winning in a dominant manner that includes style points, explosiveness, etc is the only way to be taken seriously, not only as a coach, but as a program.

Lmao we don’t need to score in bunches. We have players that can turn a short route into 10-15 yards quickly. We don’t use the whole field! We don’t make other teams have to defend the entire field. We continue to run tight sets and run up the gut out of them! When we run screens it’s to the short side of the field. Literally helping them defend us with the sidelines allowing their pursuing defenders can get there faster! All around the nation teams with less talent are being coached better smh. And don’t even get m started with our corners being 12-15 yards off the LOS when we have two all everything DEs! We should be jamming and creating more time for them to get to the QB!

I didn’t realize how old Indiana is. Very good coach and I don’t think he goes back to 7-4 next year but they have a ton of 3/4/5 year guys playing. Kind of similar to Michigan during the Nc year (minus the cheating).

Just made same comment in acc watch thread.. Also mentioned it weeks ago about shutting down entire operation for entire 4th qtr and how that mindset affects entire team.. Was told it didnt matter that ND came back and I was like it is not a good mindset..

When you see a coach who stays aggressive, you blow teams out and you get your young guy valuable reps in power 4 games to develop.. It matters ALOT.. The contrast is very easy to see..
Very frustrating our offense is slow, predictable and hesitant to scoring points. Sometimes I wonder if they get mad when we score too fast. No, I’m not joking. It has crossed my mind. Controlling the ball should not come at the expense of scoring points. Trust the defense.

You just making excuses for Mario. Everything people said about him came true already dude sucks. We have the players to attack, attack, and attack some more. Stop making excuses.

Isn't this like saying we're in the Indianapolis 500 with Andretti, as the owner and a younger Andretti as the driver, but have now replaced the engine with a prius.

Part of that was because our D couldn't stop anyone, and the O kept getting the ball back because of it. As soon as we have a decent D, Mario slows things down. You honestly haven't noticed that?

Makes me question the legitimacy of the sport when people like us can see these things, but coaches getting paid MILLIONS can't.

These people clearly didn’t even watch that Iowa game @Cribby
I wish we had an overpowering offensive juggernaut like those guys . My question is are they the new greatest show on turf ? Vegas already had no shot at creating their o/u’s now they’re really screwed.

Shame they gave away the IU game earlier this year or this Cignetti talk would be a little different
