Athlon Sports Ranks Miami #29

In years past, Miami would be ranked, and under Randy, we'd get the living siht embarrassed out of us.

Ain't nobody with no sense going to preseason Miami after a decade of BS performance. We'd get close to the top ten, and fall apart like a cheap suit.

Writers are very cautious about Miami. We're going to have to establish some credibility once again, and that's going to take a lot of time.

I can guarantee that if we beat UF and GT and are 5-0 going into the main stretch of conference play, the press will be talking us up bigtime. Any "major" team would get the same treatment. All it takes is a couple big wins and we're back near the top.

When you look at the schedule you think 10 wins is a must, but then you look at our lack of quality and or depth at some of the defensive positions and 9 wins seems realistic.

Even if we drop UF and FSU (guranteed losses, IMO), little excuse for losing one or more to the likes of UVA and UNC. 9-3 minimum, or Golden gets an F-
