Athlon: LSU will beat Miami by double digits

Lol after we beat them the same talking heads will say LSU wasn't that good they're young and a year away. It's always something every time. They had us losing to DUKE FSU VT ND last year, they even tried us with APP State the year before el oh el. Just embrace it and slap everyone in the mouth.

I don't see a blowout either way. I also have to believe we'll be further along on offense due to this being Rosier's second year. Hopefully the defense planned for a short passing attack which has been a problem under Diaz. We should win, but these early season games are best to stay away from with your money.

Whatever...

Money is coming in on Miami's side. I remember last year that although the spread might not be on point, the direction of the spread movement almost ALWAYS predicted the game correctly, The VT/ND lines, for example, started off close to pick 'em but as the week progressed, that line moved more to Miami. Anyway, money is coming in on canes = win.

I think we blow them out.

Our defense is not. Our offense is though which plays into LSU's hand.

I know you love the SEC but LSU actually has a finesse D. Their DL is average, so they rely on the speed of their back 7.

VT last year had a similar D (except with better DTs) and our offense had success vs them. If we put up 28 on LSU we win

Problem is Mannys coverages are so soft that it might just not matter that much ifbthe timing is a bit off.

We rarely play soft coverage. Our issues have been DBs in tight coverage not turning around for the ball, and LBs trying to play man coverage on WRs in space.

Manny's D is aggressive at all 3 levels, so it's nonsense to say he plays D'No soft coverages

Same ole **** we hear all the time about ACC teams

Let them believe we're a soft finesse team. They're in for a rude awakening as soon as Shaq, Pink, or McCloud lay the wood to one of their RB's, JJ stones one of their WR's, or Willis puts his 300 lbs on top of their QB.

We will be considered a finesse team and them a physical team all the way up until our Defense begins to maul their Offense. Once they see that our Defense is just as ferocious and actually better than theirs, then they will take notice.

And then when our Offense begins to physically wear down their Defense, they will know it's over.

27-10 Orange & Green guys.

Good luck scoring 27pts. When Rosier is hurried he cant hit the broad side of a barn. Hopefully yall can protect him but i dont see it happening. Hes turning the ball over at least twice, maybe even three times.

Seems just a tad biased. When a fourth year college QB is getting praise from what his HS rank was, it sounds like a HUGE question mark to me.

You guys arent focused on the important part. They called us a soft team.

Nothing gets a chip on ones shoulder like calling someone soft.

Show it to the team.

I want to see a Robert Bailey style decapitation knockout on the opening kickoff.

I was literally scanning through this thread trying to figure out if anyone else felt this way. Just print this article out, leave it in the locker room and stroll out. Ain't gotta do ANYTHING else.

We have a size deficiency imo. Our starting DTs are both kind of light and our guards aren't road graders. Not a great matchup for us in the trenches guyS. We'll need our pass rush and skill guys to win this for us.

That we do. I would direct the DE's up the field and out if I was LSU while running it right up our gut. Those DT's better be ready and up to the task or it'll be a long day.

For any talking head that makes a prediction, I wish they required them to make a bet with their own money to back up their prediction....

Needless to say these clowns are just grasping at straws
