At what point did you want the previous 3 coaches fired?

A lot of people were stunned that I said I wanted Coker fired after the back to back losses to Va Tech and Tennessee in
2003, Shannon fired after the 38 point loss to OU in 2007 and Golden fired after losing to Maryland in 2011. I can't figure out how anybody with a functioning brain cell didn't want Shannon fired after he closed out the Orange Bowl with a 48 point loss and Golden fired after Maryland went 0-10 vs FBS opponents other than Miami. So when did you want to abort the previous 3 regimes?

:Y-u-no: stop making dumb threads?

What's dumb about this thread?

And don't you argue Shannon never should have been fired?

At the very least I remember you arguing in this thread that Randy is a position coach by choice and that he keeps turning down DC offers. https://www.canesinsight.com/thread/richt-sirius-xm/98775/2 I think there was some other thread where you argued he was a good HC but I don't remember for sure.

No. I was one of the fans asking that he be fired. I didnt think shannon had the connections or experience to be a head coach and it was clear he wasn't going to get the budget to entice anyone to come.

College coaching is as much about networking and connections as it is skill/ ability to teach. Shannon was clearly in over his head and he didn't have enough friends in the coaching ranks to get anyone to come here for the cheap.

My argument is always when guys try to say shannon isn't a good DC or that he cant get a job at one of the 120 D1 schools out there not that he is a good head coach.

The entire Whipple vs Shannon debacle was embarrassing and I was fed up with both of them. But one thing i REFUSE to do is talk shid or talk down upon a man that gave a 3rd of his life to this school. Shannon wasn't a good HC and that's clear but some of the other claims/insults are absurd, especially coming from Cane family.

I wanted Golden fired after the Maryland loss too. That was really embarrassing.

To be somewhat fair it wasn't clear how bad Maryland was at the time. They had actually been decent and won a bowl game in friedgen's last season.

Never wanted Shannon or Coker hired to begin with. Hate the hire from within method especially in Shannons case when his head coach just got fired for sucking. Golden I wanted gone when the PSU fiasco happened. Knew he wasn't committed at that point to turn this thing around.

But at what point after they had already been hired did you want them fired?

Coker - After the Peach Bowl. What a god**** disgrace. The team looked like a pee-wee team compared to LSU.

Shannon - Champs loss to Wisconsin. It the same score as the Coker loss...but fuuuuck that was brutal.

Golden - losing back-to-back games to Louisville. No ******* way should you start the season with the same game plan that cost you the bowl game, against the same team, from the year before.

Ghandi ? is right on.

I smashed my laptop across my knee on that game against LSU. It was already showing, but we have not been the same type of Hurricanes since that game.

The common thread of all 3 coaches and what our teams really were?

Soft.

Richt needs to change that.

Man its been a long rough road from the good/great years.

Morpheus offered Football Helmet freedom from the Matrix...
FBH began to tell Morpherus about past Miami Hurricane coaches that he disliked...
After 30 seconds of this, Morpheus took both pills & then killed himself...
