At what point did you stop believing in AL?????

Va Tech 2013 IYAM.

I was skeptical from the beginning because I hate the 3-4 defense in the south. But I was done after Maryland 2011. Everyone says that I was just guessing and I couldn't possibly have known after one game. Bullshid. The 3-4 and power football just won't work for Florida players. Simple as that.

People will say it is unreasonable but I don't really think so. That first game was a huge red flag.

Yes it was.

Wide splits game against WF. Almost drop kicked my big screen that day. **** F A G and his entire staph

Same here - I was also at the Duke game and was the most difficult thing was walking back to my car and getting crap from Duke fans.

I never "believed," like some people did, that Al "was the right guy." But I was willing to adopt a wait-and-see attitude for a fairly long time, because a) he doesn't seem like a dumb guy, and b) some of the problems he was left with were pretty bad.

When he lost four straight (and by BIG scores...) to close out last season, it was clear that although the 'Canes talent level wasn't "back," it was nowhere near bad enough to justify the horror we were seeing. And then, when he did NOTHING to address the problems, it became clear that he's just not serious about being a good team.

So that's when I went from agnosticism to straight-out hate.

Was at this game. Resolved to give him until the sanctions were sorted since I didn't think we make a decent hire in the interim and he was a good spokesman.

Not sure how any fan didn't view KSU and ND as proof he'd never win here.

He should have been fired once the sanctions were known and manageable.

I'll admit. I was late to the party. Even though there have been signs all along, and I've hated this defense forever, he had me back on the wagon during the first half of FSU. After the second half, I was completely done. Last nail.

The 2 in a row losses to Louisville.
I felt completely betrayed and embarrassed for the U.
Realized it was never going to improve under this regime.

I remained reserved but optimistic... but I lost confidence in him on the 1st Louisville game... then the second Louisville game happened and I totally lost it...

Not sure I ever really believed in him. I thought we could have done better, even though I knew this cheap bunch of SOBs were going to take him or Randy Edsall. Never expect this university to spend anymore than the minimum possible. (I seriously wonder where some of this money goes. Always have.)

When we barely beat UNC on the road...we won on a Dallas Crawford last minute TD and also thanks to a blocked fg return for a TD, a play that you may never see again in your lifetime. We could have easily lost that game. It showed me we weren't nearly as good as most people thought we were. When we barely beat Wake Forest at home the next week that solidified it for me.

It was all downhill after that.

Stop believing in Al during the 2013 recruiting cycle and the epic fail after fail he had w/ that class.

It was mid season 2013.
Miami was enjoying a 6-0 start.
The cloud had lifted from above the program
Fans of CiS flew a banner thanking Shalala, Al, and Blake for saving us from "the cloud"

And then Jim Grobe damned near beat us w WAKE FOREST bc Alfraud couldn't figure out that wide splits on OL isn't for running lanes but to create passing lanes. If that little WR doesn't tear his knee up in 4thQtr we lose that game.
