I've made mistakes before and been fooled occasionally, and this is one of those times. I wanted Miami to get out of that Shapiro crap so bad, to get away from it with as little damage as possible, that I wanted to believe. I never liked the fact that w hired a Penn State guy and how the guy patterned his style after Paterno but he was the guy who was going to get out of that mess so I wanted to believe. There was no single moment but it was a gradual thing for me. But the three big ones were:

I wrote him off after that I think. Probably long before but I finally accepted the fact that this guy was not head coach material. The season was still young and I had hope they would savage it, we all saw how that turned out.
