Assuming TVD has a great year

He stays if he feels we can make a legit run at the playoffs regardless of money.
Plenty of cfb players on elite teams have decided to stay for the sake of winning it all. That includes our 2001 team.
But if he feels we’re still a a few years away from contending then he’s entering the draft.

Kid is too **** talented not to have a great year, even if we only win 8 or 9 games this year he'll put up numbers. Enjoy these next 12 or so games cuz it's highly likely the end of his tenure before he's cashing multi million dollar checks and bringing back the QBU moniker where it belongs, in Coral Gables.

Do we get Mario, all this influx of cash, all these coaches if Nikosi Perry is starting QB this year?

One upside to NIL, is the money will convince some kids to stay. If he’s not 1st or early 2nd round. I think he returns.

Anyone think we pay him big and he stays?

Pay him what, mahn you is naive fe even ask'n deh dayum question. You think Miami NIL boosters gwan give de boi $8MM-$10MM to stay, because that's what his NFL signing bonus would be. (Caribbean accent)

Just enjoy him as UM'S 2022 QB, an then it's Garcia "Rice n Beans con huevos" time in 2023 to play.

Go Canes

PS: An if ya'll have never had rice N beans with over easy fried eggs your missing out. **** is amazing comfort food.

If he has a really big year, he has 8 figure potential. As the 11th overall pick in '21, Justin Fields' first contract is for guaranteed money around 20M. Bit odd to discourage a kid from that - unless the payout upside is significant.

This. If he has a great year as we all expect, he’ll get projected high and the money associated with that is way more than what he would be getting here. If he struggles, Jake steps in possibly and TVD would probably transfer. I can’t imagine there’s a lot of in between. Jmo
