Associated Press thinks Ruben Bain

It’s been the same story with Bain since he was in high school. If he was 2” taller he would have been an easy 5 star player. I have never seen a defensive lineman more ready to play immediately than he was. He was more technically sound as a freshman than 90% of the third and fourth year edge players. Elite hand strength, elite leverage, elite bend for a guy who’s not lean. He could just ignore his run responsibilities like the A&M kid and pad his sack numbers but that would make him a less effective player.

Watch the games and just focus on him. Watch how many times he abandons his pass rush to pick up a check down or read a screen or draw. He doesn’t always make the play but on plays that are designed to get the defense to blindly rush upfield, having one guy smart enough to read what the offense is doing can slow down the ball carrier enough to allow other defenders time to swarm.

All the years we complain about defenders not setting an edge or guys getting out of their rush lanes and allowing running quarterbacks to break long runs. This dude does everything correctly. He makes the entire defense better even if his sack numbers are average. I would take him over Greg Rousseau (also a great player) 10 times out of 10

Thank god we made the playoffs. Bain going to dominate these sec and Ohio state mother****ers. Would be crazy not to take him because his arms are a quarter inch shorter than you’d like

He makes the defense go. Don’t care about the sack numbers.

The people that question his effort actually deserve how bad we’ve been for 20 years

If the NFL had its way football would just be a bunch of war games on a computer.

I stopped watching because it's the most sterile product that exists.
