it hit me while I celebrated with the Canes fans around me in the stadium..that game felt almost exactly like the game in the Swamp in 2002. The score was almost identical and it reminded me when Mo Sikes ran back his INT for a TD. I was at that game as well. Lets hope the season pans out the same way(except for that last game which I still have a hard time talking about to this day).

The game where in reality we won back to back natty's? We were freaking robbed and EVERYONE knows it.

I agree with you and I thought about that right after as well. It was like a flash back moment. Crazy! I hope the end of the 2024 college football season will end for us much better than 2002 did.

Our DT straight punched Mertz in the face after he threw that ball. Really glad the Refs missed it. We would have still been fuccin' either way but that pick REALLY was the quitting time moment for the Gaytors opposed to them being in the red zone with a 15yd penalty.

Meesh should have waited for the convoy

Eerie similarities in this game to 2002 (which I rewatched as fan preparation, lol). X spin move to the outside reminded of Ethnic Sands catch and run in 2002. Constant QB pressure on Mertz/Grossman. Meesh/Sikes pick and returns. Final score.

It was crazy similar. And I loved every second!

Bryant was looking the wrong way instead of getting up field to block lol, he's young so wasn't upset or anything. Powell also should have cut in, easy TD

As similar as they were, there was a slight difference.. we were up 38-10 when Powell got the int. In 2002, it was 27-16 and had uf scored, they would've gone for 2 with the potential of making it a 3 point game.

Sikes pick 6 was a game clinching play and had much more of an impact on the final score.
