Even the Richt family saw the light on this one and went hard after JW to be the QB of the 2018 class. Rutgers is the closest thing to a dumpster fire on FBS, but his stat line is just ridiculous. Went through his games and the Maryland game, just by the box score, might be the worst quarterbacked game of all time 2-16 - 8yds - 0TD - 4INT

Yeah, that happens a lot. But that's not what happened with Sit. After he decommitted, they didn't try to get him back. But it was reported that Sit was the only qb they were recruiting until then. After the decommittment was when they got back in touch with Jarren and he immediately scheduled a visit.

Yes. He decommitted because the staff was ignoring him. There's a reason why they never bothered trying to get him back. It's not like all of the sudden the kid decided to drop Miami (coming off a 10 win season) to sign with the worst P5 program in the country. He was smart enough to see the writing on the wall.
It's true that they didn't have another QB recruit locked up when they let him go, the Richts have made it pretty obvious that they don't feel the need to sign a QB every season. They were willing to go without one for the 2019 class. I'm sure they would have gone without one for 2018 if Jarren hadn't fallen into their laps.

I do agree somewhat. Though I think this was more so made to trash the former coach and staff. People really need to let things go. These people over hype and over criticize so much it is disturbing. Badmouthing any previous staff is not going to help the team going forward. Also things are never as black and white as people on here want them to be.

With that said from the insiders we had, when Sits was a hot name still they were saying they were ticked because he was throwing stuff out there about trying to get others to decommit with him and go to another school. Probably UF at the time as they were still really wanting him then. He seemed to be a physical specimen doing well at camps, full of energy, good attitude, and is actually a year younger than his class. So he was a sought out recruit when we got him.
