Artie Burns Top 5 CB

I love Artie Burns, but those picks have come against Bethune, FAU, Nebraska and VT. None have a QB worth anything.
Quit trying to discredit this man... We haven't seen a cornerback with over 3 picks before Tracy and burns in a season in over 7 years let that sink in... Probably longer than that....

I'm not trying to discredit anyone. I simply stated the facts. And I said I love Artie Burns. I'm just not sure he's destined for the NFL after this season because he's picking off horrible QBs.

Shut up man. Ed Reed picked off bum QBs his whole senior year. Chris Rix? Cody Pickett? Brian St. Pierre? Rutgers? West Virginia?

The overwhelming majority of college QB's are scrubby. That don't mean jack ****. Burns is balling.

You shut up. That is your argument? Ed Reed picked off garbage QBs so Burns should come out this year? You're not even addressing my point, which was that I'm not sure he's destined for the NFL this season. Clown.

You're aware that you started this with the above post right?

Where you tried to draw a direct correlation between who Burns played against and why that makes his production irrelevant...

you do understand this right?

Artie has proved me wrong this yr... He improved a lot... But he is not top 5 CB.... Nor is he the best CB on this team..... That's Corn

Sam Shields and Ladarius Gunter are both doing well in the NFL, and neither had alot of picks.... it ain't about picks, it's about measureables and techniques. ...Jalen Ramsey hasnt been a pick machine either nor does he have 1 this year!!!!..but is considered the best CB prospect coming out

Can you read? I don't see anywhere in there that his production is irrelevant. It simply states that it doesn't mean that he should leave for the NFL this season.

Where does it say that in the initial post? Or are you moving goal posts because you realized how dumb it sounded?

Any of these dudes leave early, it's a mistake.

Win something, first. If not games and championships, at least be a finalist for the Thorpe award.

If this dude isn't projected to go 1st or 2nd round, he should stay, IMO.

Honestly, they should wait to see who is hired before making a decision.

If a quality coach is brought in they can seriously improve their Draft stock by balling out. There's SO much talent on either side of the ball - a competent coach would destroy most of the ACC.

That said, if Golden is retained it would be in the best interest of everyone who is eligible to bolt for the NFL.

Jalen Ramsey better hope he goes to the right system (like Seattle) if he wants to play CB. Otherwise, they should strongly consider having him play Safety in the Pros. His versatility could be used better that way, I think.

Manny_Navarro: CanesFootball Artie Burns has five INTs this season. That's the most by a #Hurricane since Sean Taylor had 10 in 2003

You're mistaken as **** if you think Burns isn't the best CB on the team and his play as well as where he'll be picked in this year's draft will show as much. I said before the season in a thread talking about our highest possible draft pick this next year, it was him. All he's doing is proving me right. He'll post a low 4.4 and if he gets two to three more INT's, watch, he will go in the first round.

Wow. You are as thick as you seem. The OP clearly states that he wouldn't be surprised if Burns left after this year.

Please go back to Jersey with Golden and D'Onofrio. This board won't miss any of you.

So then all corners who don't play against Carson Palmer, Joey Harrington, and Byron Leftwich shouldn't leave right?

Just my opinion bruh.... I feel corn is the better CB.... Best random we had since rolle and Jennings

Until this program proves it will make people money instead of losing them money, why not bail and start getting paid? Sure, you'll not be drafted as high as you might be after a year of development with a good coach, but our coaches suck hard and even if we get a new one, no guarantee he won't put you in the dog house. Not worth the risk of getting hurt for free until further notice for anyone with a decent shot at getting drafted. That means Burns, Corn and Grace. Maybe even Muhammad if he keeps ballin'.

### Though an NFC scout said junior cornerback Artie Burns could become a high-round pick, draft analyst Tony Pauline

NFL teams put so much stock into measureables and potential...Artie has the potential to be even better than what we see once he gets NFL coaching. He already has good size with a frame to put on a little more muscle, is physical and has that South Florida track speed scouts covet. If he gets a good pre-draft projection then go get your money, young man.
