I like Simpson and would like to see him stick around.
Good coach and recruiter.
However, if we are in the market, I note that Marion Hobby was recently canned by
the Jax Jaguars.
He was DL coach for them, and before that worked Cutcliffe at Ole Miss and Duke and
with Dabo at Clemson before he left for NFL.
Has co-DC on his resume too.
Might be worth a look if necessary.

Doesn't have to be. JJ won a NC with a bunch of Schnellenberger assistants: Joe Brodsky, Gary Stephens, Hubbard Alexander, Don Soldinger.

They became Johnson guys and two of them followed JJ to Dallas.

You never know.

So, Saban can grab any good coach he wants? How many coaches can he hire? That's not the way his analyst system works. The analysts get paid very little from what I've read....it's almost a rehab program for damaged coaches. Where guys go to get hirable again.

People better get used to it. There's two types of people, those who claim they have information and those who say nothing. The latter would be people who actually know Manny.

Simpson is EASILY a better asset to the team as DL coach than Rumph has been as a DB coach. Rumph isn't very highly regarded in the Dade county coaching community which further complicates the issue since assistant jobs need to be filled with guys that can also recruit.

He should have been fired a long time ago.

For the record I'm not married to Simpson, I'd be more than happy upgrading him to Patrick.
