Art Briles

Idk. But you don’t decide to pay someone 21 million to walk unless you know who you got.
i know other schools have done that but I doubt Auburn would considering nsd and the risk of players jumping into the portal.

It’ll be a few years until Briles is able to coach FBS ball again.

It was rumored back in January that Briles was about to get hired by Missouri State (which is a FCS school in the Missouri Valley Conference) & as soon as it got out that they were close to hiring him they caught backlash on social media & immediately backed out, oddly enough they hired Bobby Petrino instead lol.

Briles is still pretty radioactive to be hired as a HC at a big program, no AD would touch him, at best he could be an analyst for Bama or go be an OC at a FCS program maybe.

I think he’ll eventually get back to coaching in the FBS, but it’s just gotta get out of the media’s minds before they decide if they’re going to harshly criticize every program that wants to hire him.

word is liberty wants him to replace freeze.

Only rushing performance I’ve seen more dominating than what UNC did to us.

2015 Russell athletic bowl:

Baylor was without its two leading passers, leading rusher and leading receiver for the Russell Athletic Bowl on Tuesday against North Carolina, but it didn't matter as the Bears ran all over the Tar Heels in a 49-38 victory.

Baylor ran for an all-time bowl-record 645 yards, led by Johnny Jefferson's 299 yards and three touchdowns, as Art and Kendal Briles adapted to their personnel to dominate the Tar Heels defense. The previous record in a bowl game was held by Nebraska, which ran for 524 yards in the 1996 Fiesta Bowl.

As a team, Baylor averaged 7.7 yards per carry as it gashed the Tar Heels inside and outside in the running game. The Bears gave North Carolina plenty of unique looks, running some read option, some single-wing action and all manner of other sets. Five different Baylor players took snaps Tuesday as the Bears operated an offense that was almost completely reliant on the running game.

Baylor's offensive show was an incredible exhibition of running, and also showed off how inventive and adaptable Art Briles is with an offense.

I honestly don't think Briles will be an FBS coach again. I know usually a few years down the road the rehabilitation run goes into effect, but sexual abuse stuff is absolutely nuclear and isn't going away.

But then again, Liberty exists lmao

i don't think saban would even consider looking in briles' direction short of a full exoneration/expungement by some government authority, and probably not even then because of the media circus it would cause. all of the guys that go to bama have professional shortcomings (jones, kiffin) and some personal demons (sark), but none of them have the nuclear fallout on them like briles does.

I bet on UNC this game. Might have been the most ****ed off I've ever been watching a football game.

They literally went wildcat the entire game and UNC did not adjust and could not stop them (sound familiar?).

This is correct. Freeze is going to Auburn or Tennessee (assuming they fire Pruitt)
