Plus:

+ Kaaya: Set the true freshman record for passing yards with 342. Not bad.

+ Dorsett: Just the 3rd UM receiver to go over 200 yards. Not bad.

+ Duke: Moved to 8th on UM's all-time career rushing yards list. Not bad.

+ Armbrister: He's having such a big year.

+ Berrios: What a great get for us.

Not giving any minuses today. Just don't care. Kaaya looked great.

minus was pass coverage. howard worries me. always seemed to be four defenders around the wr but none of them could stop the wr from making a catch

Berrios. I was on the fence about his commitment, but he a player. a mini shockey?

gonna have a solid career.

Good game, but special teams were awful today. No KO and punt returns, extra point wide, bad kick off coverage, kicked out of bounds etc. Defense played decent.

Our special teams look like they're going to be an Achilles heel moving forward. We had a kickoff out of bounds, a missed extra point, allowed a couple kick returns where Vogel was needed as the last line of defense, and allowed an onside kick. Vogel wasn't bad at all as a punter today and Kirby picked off a fake punt, but our special teams as a whole look really shaky through three games.

But Kaaya and Dorsett were fantastic. Our RBs are very talented. Berrios is playing very well and Walford had a nice game as a receiver.

I still have major concerns about the defense, specifically in the secondary where our guys continue to fail to get their heads around downfield, have been inconsistent as tacklers in space, and are struggling to make plays on the ball in the air.

Nice win. I would've liked to see us continue to let Kaaya throw downfield instead of inserting Heaps into the game prematurely. Shouldn't have taken our foot off the gas before the third quarter was even over.

We did what we shoulda done.. call it a win and I'm good with that. Sorry Arky state couldn't help some of you out.

Positive: Overall solid performance. We beat an overmatched opponent by a margin that we should have.

Minus: Offensive line still seems inconsistent. For having allegedly one of the most explosive players in the country in Duke Johnson, you wouldn't really know it. I still think a decent offense shreds our secondary.

Minus':

- coley **** show for 4 series up 20-7 which included ill advised trick plays
- bringing kaaya back in to ruin his almost perfect day with a pick and end on a sour note
- kicking game/special teams

Plus:

- def stopping negative momentum of coley **** show
- Kaaya
_ Dorsett

howard worries me but in a different way. how the **** were howard and gunter so solid last year and now look lost in the defense. regression is something that has happened far too much at the U in the past 10 years. when i watch the raising cane vids, i see golden doing his best to hype up the players. what i really wanna see is players firing the players up. wanna see energy and motivation. we don't seem to have many vocal leaders on this team and i don't think the coaches help in this department.

I still believe that any time Regula is on the field, it is a failure.

Nothing against him personally. I just refuse to believe there isn't another personnel package that we could put out there that doesn't improve our chances at a successful play.

Opponent, Meh - not as good as advertised. But will take the win.
Tackling not so good.
Need a new special teams coach.
Good - Duke, Dorsett, Kaaya
Not so good - we got lucky on a lot of our mistakes, and got a few good calls. Can't do that against Nebraska, even if they are overrated.
Generally happy with Kaaya. He definitely has "IT" but I worry about him being hurt- needs better protection and needs to tuck and slide - Gutsy kid...and he is still a kid going to be a winner if he stays healthy.
Ryan looked a little p.o'd - don't think he will be getting that many snaps if Brad keeps progressing. Heaps looked like a heap of ..... Olsen did a great job of carrying the clipboard! Way to go Kevin!

that's how i feel about fentress on defense. he's playing pretty well, but having a walk-on get that much playing time means that either he's superman or we've got serious depth issues.
