It all worked out in the end. Had Golden been fired after 2014 (deservedly) we'd never have lucked into Mark Richt. We'd all probably be arguing whether Mario Cristobal was going to win 7 or 8 games next season.

That would have been a nightmare. Cristobal would have been a downgrade from Golden. As hard as that may be to believe.

don't see it like that might not be a great coach but he can recruit a lot better than Folden. The 2001 team won off talent not so far fetch to think Cristobal could win off just pure talent

Cristobal gets good recruiting ratings because he coaches at Alabama. He's the least respected coach on the Bama staff and pretty much every Bama fan wishes Saban would fire him. Even Kiffin is better regarded by Bama fans than Cristobal is.

And oh yeah Cristobal wasn't a good enough coach for FIU too. They fired him after a 3-9 season.
