Are we too confident or entitled about the FSU game?

I keep reading how we should blow them out. What validates that rationale? We haven’t proved anything. I think it will be a close game but I hope I’m wrong.
Hahaha entitled? We want to beat their ***! Two very different things! It’s not entitlements, it’s hate!

We cannot take ANY team for granted and assume its an automatic win going in. We also often forget that teams can also improve over the season.

I'm sure we will be favored against ALL of the teams remaining on our schedule.... BUT I'm sure CMR and the team realizes that beating Miami will make any of those teams year, despite their current records.

While I also hope for blowouts, I realize that the favored teams can have bad days especially in rivalry games ...and that the other team often plays above their norm as we did against FSU in the Golden years. So even poor coaching can be overcome in these rivalry games.

FSU still has very good talent. Only a fool would fail to recognize that. We must always be ready to play a tough game against our chief rival.

ECU, BYU, BC, LSU this year, Maryland long ago etc etc were ALL sure wins until the game was played. Been around too long to take any game for granted.

Anyone saying that the staff should be fired IF we lose or don't blow FSU out has another agenda.

I do hope/expect for a win and will take it however it comes 1 point or 40+

FSU has shown zero evidence to validate the Canes should not blow them out. If it is a close gamd or if they win it will because the Canes did it to themselves. Yes I am well.aware it is a rivalry game. Have watched every game we have ever played against them

While on paper there is no reason we don't beat them soundly, I expect FSU to play their best game of the season vs us... just like they did last year.

Frenchy will not last the whole game. His OL is garbage and he holds the ball. Jess will have the boys ready to kill him.
You can not deny he’s tough considering his oline but I do agree just the constant beating from our dline is on a different level to what he’s seen this year

This is EASILY the most talented secondary N’Kosi has seen in his career thus far and we throw him out here after managing to toss picks against unc and fiu. The Jarren Williams fan boys might be in full effect after this one... you’ve been warned.

If they stop our run, and push our OL around, its a realistic scenario

Blow outs can definitely happen in this series.

We have lost 45-17 in 2010 at home, 33-10 in 2012 at home , 41-14 in 2013 at Tally.

Revenge time mother****ers.
This. For some reason people here seem to think every single UM/FSU game has been close. That's not the case. There's been a few blowouts over the years.

It's not just that they're bad this year, it's that they're weakest in areas that Miami is strongest. Their offensive line makes ours look like the 2001 Miami line. As long as the offense doesn't **** the bed in the first half like last season, this one won't be a nail biter.

They have plenty of talent, we're not good enough to blow them out at this point. I think we win, but I think it will be close.

We have a new QB, and an Oline that struggled against LSU. They've improved and the Q got a little more confidence against less talented teams.

Still, our offense can't depend on three Defensive scores this week, and is going to have to play for more than 45 plays against the best talent we've seen since LSU.

Expecting a blowout is maybe putting too much on Perry's shoulder at this stage, but I hope it happens.

You are kidding right? We beat ourselves against L$U. F$U is riding high I'm sure after the Louisville comeback...but they simply should not be in this game with us.

Sure, blowouts rarely occur in rivalry games, and I don't expect it this year...but we are talented enough (again, on paper...see L$U) to have a rather stress free 14-17 point win against this F$U squad. It all depends, like last year, how long we want to **** in the wind until we put it away.

If OD can whoop VT, then anything can happen, but I just don’t see it this game. We are not going in this game with the same mindset. Our guys know what it means to play and beat FSU. As much as I like Perry, I think the D wins this game. Perry will just be the icing on the cake.
