Are we recruiting a punter? srs question

Asking for obvious reasons. Prob not ideal to have multiple scholarship punters but this is directly causing us to lose games

How about a Grad Transfer? The one Golden got that one year was legit amazing, forget his name...

Can’t believe we took a kicker who was 4-10 and a punter who’s net was like 33 yrds. I never thought I would be envious of other teams kicking game

Yes.....also

No qb transfer , no te transfer ( I was *****ing about that ) look what happened. After Feagles last year I can’t believe there was no other options. Baxa even being recruited is mind blowing.

Guys at my work was like “ that dude was 4-10 in hs? wtf”. Most d1 kickers have 25-30 attempts , so his attempts makes me think his coaches didn’t want him kicking. And his percentage makes that opinion look fact.

This staff has really done some questionable ****, from play calling , recruiting , personnel and in game.

I hope some things change , but I’m getting that same ole deja vu feeling.

Seriously.. How the **** is a kicker who went 4-10 kicking for a top program?

NOPE. TRUST The staff. - The porster on here.

I said it before and I will say it again.. any coach gets the job at Miami needs to prove he can coach HERE. Even if Nick Saban came through those doors I would still have a wait and see approach. It like we're cursed and we don't have bags to get all the top recruits. When we hire 'top tier' recruiters they pull no one when they are here but if you put him at UGA or Alabama and 5/4 stars all over this MFer.

For once, I want a coach who has a winning schematic formula on offense and defense but can recruit. I know we bag on Shannon but Shannon was the last coach we've had that actually knew what he wanted to do from an identity standpoint.. we just sucked at doing it and couldn't recruit at an elite enough level to run it consistently.

a punter recruit or transfer is needed no question. By game 5 we will know if Bubba has it or not, if not an immediate transfer for next year is needed. LSU found a GEM in their kicker. I had zero confidence in the punter and IFFFF we had come back and needed a 40 yard FG to tie/win I would have said go for the first down, cause we are not making the kick. But the overall coaching of the special teams.....WTF is that?

This is what kills me. Someone at LSU put in the work to find that kicker at some bum**** no name school. Why cant we do the same. Guarantee you there are 10+ D2 punters WAY BETTER than Feagles. GO GET ONE

The weird thing is I’m pretty sure he was rated a top 5 kicker coming out of high school and at one point was supposedly the number 1 kicker.
Go figure .... 🤔
 
We don't need to recruit a punter to get better than what we have.

Suit up a cheerleader - instant improvement - and rushers won't be able to crash into something so pretty.

Win/win.
 
We just need one who doesn’t punt like he’s blindfolded while doing it.

Specialists...Kickers/Punters/Snappers...are judged on a different criteria. What they do in high school games is basically irrelevant. I don't agree with it, but its true.

They are judged on what they do in the camp circuit, which is a very bizarro world of youth football.

Whatever...regardless, what I saw from Baxa last night was troubling. They had some legit close ups of the kid and he looked like a deer in headlights. Moment was too big for him. We need to go to Cardenas. He can't be worse.

Feagles...he'll never be good. Shank artist who nets poorly even with a well struck ball.

There are students in Lil Havana, that get straight As in the highest level classes you can take that won't sniff a dollar from the University of Miami to get an education there. Yet, we are giving out free educations to bums like Baxa and Feagles. God **** shame.
 
A sports psychologist was brought in this past week because Baxa was so god awful in practice. That should tell you enough, he’s got the yips in kicking. Feagles hasn’t had a good punting game since he got here.
 
During the first FG, the one Baxa made the ABC cameras had a close up on his face and the poor kid was hyperventilating. I thought he was going to faint as he went for the kick. Hopefully he can settle down and become a reliable kicker. Feagle as much respect as I have for his family it might be best that we look for another punter.

Feagle got to go, you have literally one job. Punters & kickers **** me off the most!!
 
Get off Baxa. He went 1-2, and the miss was tipped (at least the LSU DL thought so). I know we’re all disappointed but the PK wasn’t one of the problems last night. Another legit candidate or two for competition would be good.

Feagles, on the other hand, I don’t understand how he wasn’t given any competition.

I’d have had at least two recruiting assistants assigned to nothing but finding punters and kickers.

There were two grad transfers at punter: one was Pat O'Donnell, who was really good, still in the League I believe. The other was also pretty good for us , but I forget his name. Vogel was a RF or Soph transfer from the Turds, he wasn't bad either. Can't believe Rick didn't consider it. Suppose he's just mailing it in at this point?

Agree i have no problem with Baxa at this point. True freshman in tough environment. Kid has the leg. 1/2 FG and 2/2 XP missed a 45 yarder isnt bad for a first game

Feagles on the other hand. I dont blame him for the first one (horrible protection got him spooked) but the next two..SMH.
