Are Our WR’s Severely Overrated?

So he was good enough mentally in the spring and fall for them to list him behind thomas on the depth chart but now he is struggling?
he always struggled. so we want him on 2nd string? the kid played but my point was as far as him being an impact player. this natural talent is there.

Martell was mostly on the field in wildcat packages. People are saying Pope got hurt earlier in the game. Pope struggled with the pays last year too. This isn't a new thing with him.
Well why did they list him on the depth chart behind thomas. So he was good enough in camp but all of a sudden he doesn't know what's going on?

Nobody is saying he should start. But he is good enough to get more reps. Use him on the concepts he understands and build him from there.

Willams had 2 seconds to throw all game long. Unfair to be overly critical on WR’s for last night’s performance.

That being said, I don’t want to see Tate in there any longer.

All this hype from Pope, Wiggins, Hightower, Harley Thomas, etc. and they have continuously not lived up to standards. I’m not sure if Tate Martell getting snaps was an indictment of our WR’s being *** or Enos trying to get cute, but if it’s the former then oh buddy we hyped these guys up too much.

I’ll be the first one to say having an O-line that would give up multiple sacks to D-3 teams doesn’t help with the WR’s having time to create separation, but it also seemed like the only times the WR’s “broke free” was against zone coverage. We hardly beat their corners or linebackers 1v1. Now UNC will be severely worse than UF, so this will be the telling tale. I expect some sort of schematic change to get the WR’s the ball quicker, but if we can’t create separation against an absolutely atrocious defense in UNC, then the writing is on the wall.

If all of these receivers who were highly ranked as recruits suck then the coaching is trash. I'm far from writing off this staff but if all those guys are having trouble getting off the field then you gotta look internally.

Do we know for sure Pope got hurt? And I’m not talking about last year I’m talking about this year. All off season we heard how Pope was maturing and taking everything more serious. Now we have posters making up sh*t. Show me where the staff said Pope got injured??
I'm talking about people who were at the game saying they saw him talking to trainers and took his helmet off on the sideline. Manny didn't talk injuries in the press conference so how would I know?

People at the game were saying he was injured. He got in the game early before Martell. Think y'all are making this a much bigger deal than it is. He got injured and couldn't go.

That bubble screen Jeff Thomas caught broke one defender then did a spin move to split between two defenders for a big gain is as elite as you can get... what the fck kind a crack are you smoking???

Tell the QB to throw the **** ball before you start these kinds of threads

Absolutely NOT they arent overrated. Simply because....our fans are the (ONLY) people in the country that rates our wr core high. Hate to say it but the truth is our fan base is severely delusional when it comes to our WRs.

End thread

If you drilldown to what what sucks about college football "Delusional fanbases" are at the top of the list. Think about it. They make up about 5% of the fanbase and cause 99% of the social media hate.

I don't know if they are over rated, or simply not used right. There's no way ion **** you will ever convince me Tate Martell is a better WR option than any other WR on the roster. I like his talent, and he certainly can be used somewhere, but come on.

Enos needs to realize what our strength is and that is speed. First drive quick throws getting guys in space quick. We need to be more spread than traditional

You know what’s not elite? Dropping a TD pass, dropping a punt on our 10 yard line, and not going hard every play.

Yeap. More of the first drive. We can win with that for sure

Did you see how the OL picked up 1/1,567 Grantham's blitz.

Elite. So Elite.

JT is OVERRATED. Significantly.

It isnt his physical talent, but his well known mental weakness.

Charmin soft, with a double dose of immaturity.

It's as clear as day.

Yall guys crazy. The most passing yards uf gave up last year was 250 to missiouri. They have good corners who can run and cover.

Yep, and they played solid last night, but please don't pretend like guys like Thomas were all there last night. I'm glad he came back to UM, but he sure looked like someone shot his dog last night and played like it.
