AQM Suspended for the 2014 season

How about we look in the mirror and bash AQM for being the dumbass here. None of us know the extent of the incident so it is unfair to rip the administration until we do. The kid clearly did something very bad and take the fan emotion out of it as if it was your son that took the *** beating from AQM you'd probably feel different towards the situation

How about if it was your son that got into a fight with his roommate and now misses 5 months of school and loses an entire season?

Unless he smashed a microwave over his head and tried to strangle him to death with the power cord, I find this a pretty severe punishment for a fistfight.

The school has a code of conduct, and that needs to be administered evenly to anyone, I DGAF if it's a regular student or a star football player. Clearly this was not just a minor fight, given that we've had players get into fights and the admin didn't suspend them for that long. If someone, be it my son, or some football player, doesn't want to adhere to the school's code of conduct, then they should go elsewhere.

AQM should just transfer. Go to a program and coaching staff that'll put him the best position to showcase his talents at a school that won't throw him under the bus for beating up some nerd.

This is a fair point. We are all assuming it was just a simple fight between roomates, but that this been confirmed by anyone? Do we know anything concrete at all?

It's not a fair point. If it was anything serious he would've been arrested.

So people are gonna act like regular students don't get in fights with their roommates? Who the **** gets kicked out for a semester for something like that?

the administration has let football players get away with ****. i saw the aftermath of marve hitting his girlfriend in mahoney (cops, ra's, admin, were all there) and nothing happened to him. aqm's situation has to be more than just a simple fight between roommates if this is what he's getting.

Either we want these kids on roids or we don't.... We know that stuff causes people to freak out, then when it happens the coach doesn't stand up for the kids....SMH

Hopefully, once Shalala is out of here, we can make some adjustments that will allow us to reel in some S. Florida kids that have a natural mean-streak without the need for supplements!!

He's gonna go to Bama, **** **** up next year and then be a first round pick.

****.

Rapes
Arrests
Multiple players assaulting students
Alcoholics
Robbery
Failed drug tests

Has Al Golden lost control of the progrum?

/no way a player at a school that cares about football gets suspended an entire year for a fight

****, we good....gonna be killing teams out there like we used to.

I wouldn't blame him for transferring. Even though I want him to stay.

Not surprised you think the judgement is fair.

Can someone provide the transcript, link, or video which suggests that this was "just a fight"? Thanks in advance.

Don't know the extent do we? If my son beat up a kid and missed 5 months of school than it is on him for making poor choices. Everret Golson missed a semester for academic fraud (different offense) and if I was his father I'd tell him I am extremely dissapointed, that he had poor judgement and hopefully learns from this. Feel the same way about AQM situation.

Word on TOS is that he had an argument with his roommate and his roommate knocked over AQM's one year old son. That set AQM off. The police had already cleared AQM but then the administration got involved...

If true, hard to fault AQM

If that's true, AQM should have gone Ham on the roommate.

1. An Administration that couldn't care less if our team is ****.
2. A coaching staff that excels at making our team play like ****
3. We are in for a world of ****.
4. This staff and admin have succeeded in me loathing this program.

This school and coaching staff are costing these players money.

This is the type of character issue that will drop a player's draft stock. Losing an entire season of eligibility is a big ******* red flag compared to a few games.

******* with this kid's future over a god**** fight. I'm so ****ed about this.

What was he arrested for?..... Oh, wait. He wasn't? Way to stand up for your players, Al.

Really, it's Al's fault. I bet when you stubbed your toe that was Al's fault too? It was a UNIVERSITY suspension, not a team suspension. Al, in fact, made an excellent decision in not playing him in the two games since had he done so AQM would have lost a whole year of eligibility.

..This Al Quadin decision was made above athletic department. Al Quadin claimed self-defense. Members of football staff think it's too harsh

In all honesty, I hope he does. If this is how we're gonna treat our players, they deserve better.

A whole season for a fight? I can't understand this. It's literally getting me upset.

So no arrest and no charges pressed but STILL suspended for a full season? RIDICULOUS.

Not surprised you think the judgement is fair.

Not surprised you think players can do whatever they want without repercussions, as if they weren't students at the university.
