AQM AND GRACE DISMISSED FROM TEAM

Seriously doubt the NCAA would have given a **** if they told the truth or not, they would have recommended dismissal. Larger question, with it being imperative to put a good product on the field in year 1 for momentum purposes (recruiting) how does this hurt our performance THIS season and can we spin the "Baby Cane" narrative once again if need be?

Losing AQM is not really a big deal to me. He hasn't been really productive and we have alot of talent at DE. Probably our deepest position.

Losing Grace is a bigger deal but he's a senior and we would need to replace him next year.

Instead we are force to find his replacement this year.

All is not lost Canes Fam.

If I told you the 77th ranked D from 2015 just lost their 2 best defenders for 2016 how optimistic would you be about that team for this year?

I was never that high on Grace. I didn't seem him going earlier than the 5th round. It is a loss because of our depth, not because Grace was a beast. AQM is a loss, but I think we will be fine at this position.

We got similar viewpoints, I just said the same thing about grace

We have some soft shouldered fans on this site. It's bad news, terrible news, but the posters who are saying F this program are nothing but soft. Coach Diaz and Kool have their work cut out for them. Richt too. Hopefully the kids become even tighter as a team. My $0.02.

Go Canes!

dudes got what they deserve . We are loaded at DE so I am not concerned about that loss but losing Grace hurts since we are paper thin at backer . Luckily we have been injury free thris summer . Would much rather play it safe with these rule breakers being on probation and what not.

move Carter to Sam linebacker and put Jaquan as the starting safety.

Even with these 2 losses Miami should STILL have a very good season. Let's be real outside of Muhammad grace was solid but he wasn't a difference maker outside of his speed. If you asked me I would had rather have young back before grace he jumped out on film. Muhammad was going to have a monster season but he f_cked up point blank period

Young over Grace, can't make this stuff up. Our best LB by far not a difference maker.

Genius hot take!

Grace was solid but he wasn't a difference maker that people make him out to be

How would he have fared in this scheme?

You can't really rely on last year's statistics because we ran a putrid defensive scheme.

The hope was that AQM would potentially be able to play to his full potential under a more aggressive scheme.

I just believe we have other guys on our team at that position that are extremely talented so the loss in my opinion is not huge.

Grace is a bigger loss to me.

True that. A ship run tight is a ship run right. Also Grace isn't some amazing player in fact I would say he is 4th most talented LB we have its just our depth is for ****e due to Corch Golden and Dno.

wtf how can we can compete? alabama players have pics up with chargers, yukon xl suvs, camaros, fsu players knock a girls teeth out before the season they make they get a judge to sweep it under the rug, drugs, guns whatever and all those guys still get to play.......just *** it, i'm disgusted right now

Not us. We are going to do it the right way. We will not stoop to Alabam/FSU level. We are an academic institution not a football factory.

Grace would have had a monster year in this defense. Your hot take is awful

These were my thoughts too, but I've been taking a lot of heat for my various opinions lately and thought this would be even more unpopular. I don't think either loss is huge, but you hate losing out on senior leadership.

They must have gotten word that the NCAA was gonna start asking questions.

Lol why would this lame @ss university seek advice from the NCAA that clearly has a bias against Miami??? Lol I wonder what the NCAA wouldve "advised" Bama to do in the same situation?

/ UM is the NCAAs bxtch

Serious question: did you make it past the third grade? You've got to be on of the stupidest motherfūckers on this board. Do you not know how anything works?

When your team is on probation you have to be aggressive at enforcing rules so the NCAA doesn't get involved. It hurts but it was the right move. This year is a rebuilding year and a year of learning. It is better to take bumps now then have to take them over the next 4 years. We got guys that will step up.

Also to brighten your day...

"The matter is considered closed" ONLY applies to the two athletes dismissed.

Coley's status is still undetermined.

Next man up.

Go Canes.

Probably a lot better we won't ever find out now...

Yeah, you lose leadership and depth. I think DE will be fine but LB we were already thin as ****. This sucks, especially since both were practicing with the 1s for pretty much the entirety of fall camp.

Broke, he was out best lb and a big part of what Diaz wanted to do with the defense. That's a loss! Really no other way to view that, especially when it means that 3 freshman are now starting at lb.

not saying for miami to stoop to their level just saying its tough to compete against opponents that are not only willing to do any and everything to win the point an entire police department will cover up a rape but that they go unpunished for the things they allow with no scrutiny. dalvin cook could take it a step further and decapitate a bytch this year before this season and they would make the case disappear
