AQM AND GRACE DISMISSED FROM TEAM

So what about Coley?

The university's statement said that they considered the matter closed. Hopefully it means Coley is clear.
Hope the 2 dismissed players make the most of their education. Glad the U is still letting them finish their degrees.

They're very lucky that the University is doing that, although I'm not sure whether or not they deserve it. Idiots.

Sounds like the ncaa might have told them to dismiss aqm and grace.

The University of Miami announced today that red-shirt junior Al-Quadin Muhammad and senior Jermaine Grace have been permanently dismissed from the Hurricanes football program for violating NCAA rules. The University will, however, continue their financial aid through graduation. The decision was made in consultation with outside counsel and after discussions with the NCAA enforcement staff. As no staff members or boosters were involved in the violations, the program will not be subject to sanctions and, at this time, the University deems this matter closed."

if i had to guess, given UM is on probation, they offered up grace and aqm to the ncaa for a dismissal of the case because they lied to the school when they got busted.

coley safe. case over and closed. the ncaa extracted something from the violation and UM moves on.

So basically they said "let's turn our backs on these kids, its the easy way out.". FCK them and this program!

You're showing how stupid you really are.

Losing AQM is not really a big deal to me. He hasn't been really productive and we have alot of talent at DE. Probably our deepest position.

Losing Grace is a bigger deal but he's a senior and we would need to replace him next year.

Instead we are force to find his replacement this year.

All is not lost Canes Fam.

If I told you the 77th ranked D from 2015 just lost their 2 best defenders for 2016 how optimistic would you be about that team for this year?

Y'all worried about how this effects the team, calling them stupid like they still were doing the **** up until now?? Gtfoh the shxt been over, they been moved on from that weak shxt. Now all of a sudden they're told they're off the team after being allowed to practice?? **** is fake AF. They could've told them to start looming for another program when Young got kicked off if this is what the outcome was going to be...

Probabtion or not, it wasn't an NCAA issue, couple game suspensions and that's all it shouldve been.

This hurts, but we gonna be alright.

Glad they can keep their financial aid, hope they stay in school and get their degrees. I'm sure this is a tough lesson for these kids to learn. Hope the rest of the team takes note, Gator don't play no ****.

Stop blaming compliance and the NCAA. They didn't make these guys take illegal benefits. I agree players at other schools get away with a lot worse, but we are under probation and can't risk more damage to the program, because of these selfish guys. I believe Quan is a first round talent and Grace would be a good late round pick. Oh well. Next man up. Time for the baby canes to take charge.

I was never that high on Grace. I didn't seem him going earlier than the 5th round. It is a loss because of our depth, not because Grace was a beast. AQM is a loss, but I think we will be fine at this position.

they are lectured and instructed not to take improper benefits. some of these guys have been hearing this for years and were at UM during the investigation, hence they had a lot of awareness of compliance requirements and consequences of not following them.

they disregard their instruction and negotiate with the owner of exotic cars to allow them to use these cars in exchange for taking a cut or a promise to rent more cars when they get into the league

young cheats on his GF, GF gets ****ed and rats all of them out

they are confronted and they all lie about it, except perhaps coley and that's why he's spared

had they admitted their mistake, they would have been suspended a few games.

who is at fault here?

I fee like this is really simple, there are rules that state you can't take improper benefits, the rules might be a joke and not enforced fairly but they're the rules. It sucks but UM isn't in a position where we can take a chance with the NCAA. We asked them to advise on punishment and this is what come down.

You got it backwards . The easy way out was to keep them

What if told you that the two guys who broke the defense in their 5 years running it were gone? Would you feel better?

move Carter to Sam linebacker and put Jaquan as the starting safety.

Even with these 2 losses Miami should STILL have a very good season. Let's be real outside of Muhammad grace was solid but he wasn't a difference maker outside of his speed. If you asked me I would had rather have young back before grace he jumped out on film. Muhammad was going to have a monster season but he f_cked up point blank period

Young over Grace, can't make this stuff up. Our best LB by far not a difference maker.

Genius hot take!

Grace was solid but he wasn't a difference maker that people make him out to be

wtf how can we can compete? alabama players have pics up with chargers, yukon xl suvs, camaros, fsu players knock a girls teeth out before the season they make they get a judge to sweep it under the rug, drugs, guns whatever and all those guys still get to play.......just *** it, i'm disgusted right now

Lol why would this lame @ss university seek advice from the NCAA that clearly has a bias against Miami??? Lol I wonder what the NCAA wouldve "advised" Bama to do in the same situation?

/ UM is the NCAAs bxtch
