Self-righteous? It's a matter of personal accountability. You don't blame someone or a group of people for NOT bailing you out of a dilemma, you blame yourself for putting yourself (and your team) in that dilemma.

the above mentality is so hypocritical, asinine, and counterintuitive. If you're a talented person in America you should be able to receive any financial windfall that comes your way, especially in a sport like football where careers are short

the power 5 should consider leaving the NCAA and creating their own governing body. benefits to players hurt nobody

Exactly! Something must change with these antiquated rule sets preying on these young athletes when they make bad decisions. The repurcussions, as we are seeing today, are brutal.

The system is not striking the right balance.

The D1P5 ARE THE NCAA. These are their [D1P5] rules. All the institutions have no one to blame but themselves.

How is the administration garbage because these kids did something stupid? These young men did this to themselves, and the school is STILL STANDING BY THEIR SCHOLARSHIPS. In other words, they will still be allowed to finish their degrees, ON SCHOLARSHIP, even though they can't play because of something THEY DID. This isn't a kid getting hurt and being unable to play, this is a case of two young men going and taking a benefit, knowing full well that it was against the rules. Should we all look the other way, knowing full well that the University is still on probation, and under a microscope?
 
i have a different perspective . . . play the young guys . . . so maybe we win 9 games instead of ten . . . we're still going in the right direction

I don't know why some of you think the kids should be able to receive benefits. Do you not realize if that is allowed to happen then Miami is done? We wouldn't be able to compete with big schools in the benefit game.
 
This hurts every time this program seems to be overcoming some sort of adversity some BS happens that sets us back.
 
The only question I have, is if this could've been settled earlier?
 
I'm so sick of Miami's bull****. Alabama players get caught with guns and drugs in a rival state and nothing. Miami guys ride clean around in nice cars and off the team. There went the season.
